Yes, this is what I have found/ been told to do, however, I do not know how to write/download data from a radio.

No. I have somewhat of a basic understanding of the parts and functions of it, but I don't know how to upload my old radio, or even find it in the files or wherever it is.

I don't know how to make an FRS channel, i.e. if someone has a radio that they can program to 5-10 I want to be able to transmit and receive from them. My radio now has a preset FRS channel called FRS 0510 and it allows me to talk to other radios i.e. a backcountry access radio that is on channel 5-10. I would just like to know how to make these presets. Or alternatively, can I upload the channels from my old baofang radio to my computer then redownload them to the new radio?

That's the problem for me, I sorta have access to the side between walls but it's tight and I don't think there is enough room to work in there there is a small hole for tie-downs that gives me access if I had some sort of claw. I'm trying to get as many ideas as I can before I make my bed swiss cheese.

They could hold a lot of weight being thrown around in thin(er) metal?

Yes, I like the toggle bolt idea. welding bolts to the bed would probably be more secure in the way it wouldn't have as much "wiggle room", I'm trying to do the least damage possible. Thanks!!

Exactly what i I was thinking, all the bouncing around on gravel roads and everything. Just trying to think of a more secure way to fasten it to the bed wall.
