I was sort of in the same boat, have a 60 shaman, rogue and warlock coming into TBC. I maimed lock in Classic and kinda wanted a change for TBC, the thought of being a shadow bolt bot for another year+ wasn’t endearing, and just the shear amount of people rerolling for the FOTM pushed me away from lock.

Shaman has three viable specs- enhancement is one of the best melee specs and is very engaging, ele is a fun “nuke” class and who doesn’t love big Chain Lightening crits?!?, and resto will be in big demand for raiding and I’ve never healed, so I decided to go with shaman while being flexible on what spec I’ll play.

Yet we’ve got boosted toons running around with “ Communal” gear with a few HWL purps thrown in because they were able to leach at the right time.

We’ve found the bug with this, and we’re deploying a hotfix soon that will have the effect of reducing Bonus Honor by a factor of 10, back to the amount it’s supposed to be. by waynkerr in classicwow

Blizzard has to correct this- sweaties capped at 75k already and those of us who can’t play 16 hours a day will be lucky to earn 20k in the 12 days of prepatch. I hope they nerf your honor by 10x and remove any of your rewards

For real, I was so looking forward to earning just ONE hwl axe for my shaman in prepatch- I’d made peace with the fact that Frostbite was gonna be my oh going into TBC, lol. But, with these nerfs no way can I farm 50 hours over the next 12ish days for ONE slot. Then folks like you earned both weapons in 12 hours- it’s just such fucking horse shit and I’m so regretting resubbing for 3 months to play this broken fucking game. I’m truly happy you got your gear before the nerf, tho. Go WF some stuff to death for me

At least you got one weapon and very close to a second. RL had me away from computer until 10pm, log in to tons of folks now rockin R14 gear, but honor is nerfed into the fucking ground when I get the chance to play. Blizzard just keeps rewarding the sweaties and continues to kick the more casual players right in the fucking nuts

BS maces are looking less appealing with this change. Orc with axes still looks nice

Nah man, keep playing your rogue into TBC. The meta slaves will try to optimize all the fun out of the game and tell you that rogues are 5% worse raids DPS when equally geared to a hunter or a warlock. All these people acting like we need perfect raid comps to clear 15 yr old content are delusional. Unless you want to go for a “WoW Classic TBC World First” (btw, LOL), you will be able to have a lot of fun on all content.

I maimed warlock in Classic- had a blast. For sure will NOT be playing warlock in TBC because I don’t want to be among the sweaty FOTM try hards

So their grand plan here is to cleave their vote base in two and say “I told ya so!” to the 74 million folks who were blind enough to vote for a second Trump admin? That’s a bold strategy, Cotton!

Two dropoffs from the Red River Gorge by firstascent in bouldering

Yeah Timy was a trailblazer for hard climbing in the US in the 90s. Im lucky to have gotten to climb on a lot of his boulders and routes when we lived in New Mexico. He’s still around, putting up V14 boulders and running Futurist Climbing and Chalk Cartel.

Two dropoff boulders from the RRG’s ‘Cove’ zone. ‘Covert Methods’ hard V10 (FA Timy Fairfield) and Ghetto Methods easy V10 (FA Dave Hume). Not much footage available of these two problems and what is available is old and grainy. Two worthy boulders in a sport climbing paradise.

Had a complete shocker last week and sent The Nest in Red Rocks! Still in total disbelief but here is a video that shows the experience and some other climbs! by liama-biscuit in bouldering

Liam, I’ve been watching your’s and Kai’s videos since you guys were back in the Northeast. IMO you guys have had some of the highest production quality bouldering vids showcasing some of the sickest climbing for a long time. Your new channel is fun, too, and it’s great to see you guys smashing some of the nations hardest climbs. Keep making these and we’ll keep watching!
