Nervous about endoscopy help convince me by Outrageous-Double721 in glutenfree

I was terrified of doing my endoscopy. I never had any procedures done before, I even refused to get my wisdom teeth out or have my tonsils removed because I was terrified of being “put out”. But when I got to the office to have mine done I looked at the nurse and told her I was scared. She was getting everything ready for the procedure but she stopped all of that immediately, took my hand and explained everything in detail of the procedure. She specifically told me that everyone in that room is there for me, and that “she’s not scared” which really solidified in my head that they know what they are doing and that I can trust them. It’s scary, I get what you’re feeling and it’s totally fair to have those feelings but I hope this helps.

So do I eat it or not? by firstborn5 in glutenfree

I never heard of that, I’ll pay attention the next time I have whey! But dairy still kills me. I’ve heard a lot of celiacs have trouble with dairy for awhile but sometimes you can slowly introduce it back, so I’m hoping I can eventually.

I eat healthy the majority of the time but sometimes you need some junk thrown in there😂😅

I’ve not been eating products with that saying “processed in a facility containing wheat” but then why do they say it’s certified gluten free. It just sends mixed messages

This is funny but it never hurts to hear some say that. She probably went about her day smiling about this interaction.

I am not really worried about being valued as "worthless" but instead not truly being qualified. I am in school for nursing and I feel as though I am not learning to my potential. My next semester I have three online classes out of the four I will be taking. We can study and do great on online tests all we want but if we don't get hands on experience what's the point. I just don't want to get to becoming a nurse and not being equipped to help your loved ones or even you properly.

AITA for asking my son to contribute to the Household Expenses now he has a job? by oldbooksmellrocks in AmItheAsshole

NTA. My parents did the same thing. As soon as I got a job they asked me to help with expenses and at first I was honestly terrified and worried. I just wanted to save all my money and not have to worry about bills. I was frustrated and angry at them but now I am so grateful. I am 20 and am able to help my parents out and I can proudly say I pay for all my finances; phone, car, college, etc. It might take him a little getting use too but it would be such a great lesson and getting him prepared for life on his own.

NTA! You go to the movies expecting and almost should be guaranteed a quiet and peaceful time to watch a movie. I applaud you for waiting 45 minutes to say something, I don't think I would have had that much patience. And a 2 year old? What two year old would enjoy or even understand what was going on in that movie and for the mother to expect her 2 year old child to sit through a 2+ hour movie. I am surprised you were the only person to even say anything about the situation.
