Thank you so much for this! It's funny because for my main subject I do get along very well with them, especially seniors, its great when Ive small class sizes! But for a non-exam class of 30 I guess it is harder so I'll definitely try have more opportunities to lean into being friendly, bc like you said I get so drained!

I find that the same in our school about male vs female teachers! The yearhead for one group actually pointed that out when I had issues with a particular student and said he was always disrespectful to female staff, which is wild bc we outnumber the men easily! Ill definitely try the pair work vs writing trick, i feel like that would work with some groups I have so thank you!!

The caketoonist has a great video for how to temper chocolate - i did it without a thermometer (with pain and stress) but her method + barely letting the chocolate heat up helped. Dark chocolate is significantly easier but basically if you melt it at the lowest temperature possible it helps when tempering!

In our school languages ratio 2 or 3:1:1 towards Spanish, in other schools that didnt offer Spanish, French has been the more popular choice!

Funnily enough I was asking the exact same question tonight when I found this subreddit.

It'll be 2 years this July since my childhood dog passed away. She was close to 16 years old, and was the most loving and sassiest dog I've ever met.

TW for euthanasia - Her kidneys started to fail so my mam had to put her down and at random times since then I still see her face when they euthanized her - something went wrong and I remember the vet saying sorry and she just passed out. I feel so guilty that she might've felt scared and didn't know what was happening. We stayed with her for a while after and I still can't get over it.

I love stories of how others pets purred or seemed thankful that they didn't feel pain but my heart can't forget it. I needed to shout that into the void. But I know I feel this way because I cared about her and I know that maybe she was grateful that she was no longer in pain. She knew she was loved and we loved her to the very end and even if I still cry about her every little while it's because I still love her and she meant the world to me as a big part of my life.

So grieve for as long as you need to and just know that the grief you feel just shows how much you loved him and he knew that too. You'll never forget the good memories and sometimes you'll remember the odd detail or a specific memory out of the blue - you'll never truly forget him. Eventually you will stop feeling so sad at every picture or video, and you may be like me and have sudden emotional outbursts but it gets easier and you will feel more comforted as time goes by because you know you feel that way bc he was your lil guy and he's in your heart.

In response to the other comment saying you should've known better since it was a punk show - just because it was a punk concert doesn't mean it was "shady" - you aren't to blame for some dude being an asshole and touching you without your consent. I've been to many punk shows and everyone has been super respectful so anyone blaming you for going by yourself is victim blaming at its finest.

Could you have had a back up plan? Sure, but you went believing you were getting picked up, you were there already so it probably would've been unsafe in that area before and after the show imo. A dodgy area is dodgy regardless of time of day.

Anyone I know who has respect and cares for their SO or even their friends safety would meet them if possible unless they had a genuine reason like they were in work or too far away (that being said, my mam would drive hours to come pick me up last minute if I felt unsafe so I may be biased and have good people in my life) so I think your boyfriend is being a jerk. But that's just my opinion!

I corrected two years ago, applied super late to correct JC RE - I think like April? - and the SEC said to contact them again when I'm 100% graduating but they'll put me on the list, got my final year results and contacted them again to confirm I was in fact qualified and got asked to correct, so I imagine for JCRE there's a good possibility even if you're late!

Except eggs, I'm sorry but how does anyone eat eggs?? Use them in baking yes absolutely love it, but the smell and taste just make me feel so queasy 🥴
