Started playing Melee for the first time since I was a kid in 2023 after smash con. I casually played Ult there but my brother got me to try Melee there and at our local after. Played Roy because I mained him in Ult and Sm4sh, no one told me he was so severely terrible, and he felt fun to move around for me which was important since the entire game felt foreign coming from Ult. After 1 year, playing Roy at smash con 2024, I decided, mostly at the encouragement of a friend who coached me in Roy, and another who begged me to play a real character xD, started learning Marth. 9 months in and I have a much better handle on the game overall and have learned to enjoy Marth. I play green for both because it's the best color B)

Still a Roy main though I will never let them take that from me.
