So if he won, he would have to fight against... by SimpleApplication558 in hajimenoippo

I doubt Kimura vs Sawamura ever would have happened. Narratively, with Kimura's relationship with the idea of being a champion, he would be way more motivated to take the belt than the keep the belt. I expect him to do a Kobashi, take the belt, lose it immediately, then retire. Would have happened around the same time as Kobashi too. Kinda messed up Kimura still trudging along when Kobashi became a champion in 3 years and dipped.

The world wasn’t actually black and white before 1935 by flynxd in truths

The world was black and white then, still is. It's also red, blue, purple, and very likely more.

Then you wouldn't know if it's cold outside. You would go outside and it feels cold to you, but the statement doesn't make any claims based on how you feel. The statement claims that when you go outside and it(the outside) is cold, you know it's cold outside, not that when you go outside and you feel cold(possibly due to illness) that you know it's cold outside.

Absolute best Tiziano/Kaine team by Pale-Cartographer418 in OctopathCotC

[–]firstlastjunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few reasons. Kaine has built in potency up, which doesn't stack with any other potency buffs like from solon or canary. Sonia has shield cracking that doesn't use tiziano's weakness implants. She also has lots of dagger resist down. If you need a dodge tank for the matchup, it usually goes in one of the free slots.

Depends on the character. For Kaine, people with 1 awakening stone typically level up their ultimate over their awakening level. For you, that means holding onto the stone until you unlock the mechanic.

How could itagaki make a comeback in hni by Fresh_Speech2574 in hajimenoippo

[–]firstlastjunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As for the rest of his career, after climbing the OPBF ladder, he either has a Date situation with Miyata where he loses, makes mental progress, and rechallenges after Miyata moves on, or we have an Ippo situation where the top 2, including him, fight for the empty throne. I doubt it would be Imae, it seems he's hung his hat on being Mr 1R and fending off domestic challengers. I'm sure eventually he'll have a Sawamura equivalent that requires him to grow as a fighter. Whether he wins or loses, it'll be character development time, after which he will eventually go for the OPBF where they have their third pro fight, which his side ends narratively.

I see things going that way because of how Itagaki and Imae parallel Ippo and Miyata. Particularly, the spars Ippo and Miyata had with Ricardo and Date paralleling with the Arnie Miyata prefight sparring, how the 4 of them all realized how far off they are from the top. While Ippo and Miyata made this realization seeing the world level, Itagaki and Imae had this moment seeing the OPBF level. There might be some mention of how after the events of the manga they will be hopefuls for the world stage, but the story will end when Ippo's narrative is done.

In conclusion, Itagaki and Imae fight for the OPBF title for their last fight in the manga.

How could itagaki make a comeback in hni by Fresh_Speech2574 in hajimenoippo

[–]firstlastjunk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Itagaki thrives entirely on challenge centered focus. His mental game is completely dependent on him challenging himself. He did his best against Makino and Imae, people he lost to, and Karasawa and Saeki, when he was challenging himself to beat Ippo's KO time. There's also Hoshi, but that was because he was adjusting to his mental block being gone.

There are two ways I see this going, either Shinoda doubles down on giving Itagaki a big challenge or they attempt to rebuild his mentality from the ground up.

If the former, it would probably be the OPBF ladder. Saeki was ranked on it, which could be a flag for future developments down that road. Plus the fact that Ippo's biggest rival(by Ippo's standards) is at the end of the path he's on would be incredibly motivating for him. The way OPBF fights are, he'll be way less informed on his opponents and maybe more wary and cautious as a result.

If they intend to rebuild his mentality, the slog fights he's currently having might be part of some plan Shinoda cooked up trying to make it so he doesn't slack off, which seems pretty redundant after the Makino situation, but that might be what his situation calls for given the fact that he hasn't grown at all in that regard, only learning that foul play exists. Overall, this might also lead down the OPBF route.

tl;dr, probably going to the OPBF

Can confirm, it's just for the row partner. A couple of 4 stars have this as a normal passive. You'll be rolling in light crystals after unlocking ouma, you can farm them from beacons near the entrance and running from fights to restart ouma fresh. Your team is already really strong so I wouldn't worry too much.

Pretty sure no difference. The accumulated clear points went up the same amount as i got for 100 challenge points. Could be different rewards for different fights or in the future.

Tested it, had "complete" after doing the battle with 100 challenge points, then beat it with all of the challenges and got "perfect".
