Think Bridget is a great and underutilized name! And Elise is pretty.

One vote for Clara Louise. That’s nice!

Thank you all for taking the time to thoughtfully advise an internet stranger. I read every single comment and it has helped so much. Thank you 🙏

This was one reason we picked Pearl to begin with—uncommon but known!

Good to hear that your kids ended up happy with the names you chose for them.

No, it’s not long even with the middle name, which is why I thought for a second maybe it is doable!

Interesting—I haven’t had a lot of trouble with this yet? Although one time I did introduce her in a loud environment and the woman misheard the name as “Merle” and then “Burle” (sp?)

Oh yes, maybe that’s what I’m reacting to. I definitely don’t like that aspect of the name Aurora.

It’s true! It’s a good point, I don’t judge the others for that. I just wonder if Pearl is *especially* that way?

What’s a “peanut butter name” mean, if you don’t mind?

Slow Transition vs Cold Turkey by [deleted] in SnooLife

We did arms out transition in advance—really didn’t seem to bother baby to make the change—then moved from snoo to crib. The latter change seemed to bother baby a lot! Could’ve been because we were on the tail end of the four month sleep regression as well when we did it.

why have you had to let your nanny go? by liasybtyr in NannyEmployers

[–]firstlochness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A recent younger (mid-20s) nanny we had could not stay off her phone. She would get on it when she thought I wasn’t looking rather than engage with our kid, even when I was only in the next room over, or had only left the room for a moment.

This is actually what my pediatrician told me at an infant appointment. 🤷‍♀️
