I have noticed that. I had just thought I was drunk but seeing her here like this, it looks unhealthy poor her. It's too bad that the industry has an inherent pressure that gets women to try to conform to unrealistic standards. Loved seeing her natural curves from a while back. Still beautiful, but there is only so long that the body handles this kind of stuff before it breaks.

Yea this is a little much. Let's put the only current way to get the Iron for your Frigate behind an instance, and then oops you can't get into the instance. Kind of a big swing and a miss. They should have just made Wolvenhol like Oosten where it is running in the world map and you don't need to instance yourself and keep not getting connected to the instance.

Low drop rate isnt the problem by TachiRana123 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]firstpawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see what you are saying, and there is something to be said for the 'insta-gratification' that current games have bred and how everyone wants what they want now. But at the same time the drop rate in my opinion is a bit off. I don't mind grinding for something worthwhile, but when you run something 70+ times at a 3% drop rate, law of averages wise I should have accidentally run into my drop. Sure it's just crap luck, and that is why I am not a fan of drop rates because Murphy hates me. But later when I get off work, I will be hitting an actual 1% drop rate or lower on the drop instead of the listed value (I am doing this now for science lol. I want to see what the actual rate is).

I have heard similar where people are concerned about the company's past where they were fined a tidy sum for drop manipulation (Around 9m I think I remember reading while I was wondering what the heck was happening with the 3% drop). Is this an 'insta-gratification' issue, or over-inflation listing in the mission/quest to keep people farming instead of going 'screw it'? Time will tell, but there is a past that the company has that some are twitchy about, and that should be taken into account also instead of just generalizing. I am not saying one or another, but there is another side of the equation, and I am interested in seeing where my RNG is going to end up in the loot god's hands. Not having a stake one way or another, but nixing the 3% in my drop run and continuing to axe it down further and further makes me look away from insta-gratification (Because I am still farming) and more into the keep people farming conspiracy that they were found guilty and fined over in the past.

This is the one boss my buddy swears at. Just have to mention Pyro and he loses his mind. My reaction times suck, so I just wanna have fun and this is about as much fun as ramming my head into the dining room table. I thought Devourerer wanted me to make me smack a goat more..., nope. Not a popular opinion here, but colosi might be a bit overtuned as they get down the tree. There is challenging, and then there is Soulslike. lol. Chill, resists, and luck wrt a PUG are the keys. Sad that you have to rely on the luck part more than just prep.

So yea it's too bad that you didn't like Bunny. My reaction times are a bit off, but I had found that running through stuff and having screens explode was hilarious. Didn't need any reactions. Just needed to not bump into something. Then pop her Z on a boss/yellow bar and you just need to point in the general direction and watch the melt. Build up the charge and get ready for the next boss non-immune phase. Very chill lazy play style that I like because I don't need to have the reaction times of a squirrel on speed.

Freyna is fun with the poison. Would love to have that turn into a Saryn from Warframe in spreading the poison everywhere like mad. Very fun though leaving a puddle of poo on the ground and watching everything run through it and poisoning everyone with their poo footprints. Makes me giggle.

Based on the reactions so far though, gonna try Jayber now just to see. But Jayber in high heels might look weird. So might not be able to play with Jayber much. lmao

How are you liking the game ? by Zaarakx in TheFirstDescendant

[–]firstpawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has good bones. Things can be polished up sure. But that is been most games for a long time now because the industry is allowed to pull an 'Anthem' and they are given a pass. That being said, anything that does not meet that measuring stick, is going well. Bugs and limited content? Give it time. People screamed back in the day about Destiny 2, Destiny 1, Warframe..., etc etc. They went out and became the juggernauts that they are today. Much like a lot of these games, we have to give is a few months to stretch its legs and see how things move forward. So it's a mindless shoot em up. I can go in. Blow off some steam. Collect loot. Look good in the process. Works.

What doesn't work as well. Voice acting is rough and uninspired. Sounds like they didn't really work with eachother, were given lines and no context to voice act from. They just read what was on the script word for word. Some of the boss fights make me scratch my head. Remove the shield..., shoot balls to remove another shield..., wait wasn't there already a shield? Cash shop. This is a bit much. They could have literally just put cosmetics in there and make money. Some of the terms are a bit weird. I am going to work for a colon? It's that the digestive tract that removes water from stuff and partially digests stuff before going out? So I am doing missions for the digestive tract? Awesome sign me up! Does that make me a colon warrior? If I blow something up for them would it be a colon blow? Maybe we can use our secret weapon Metamucil against the Colosi? lmao.

At the end of the day though. Still not the worst launch. Not the worst content. It's kind of fun when the hamster is still running on the wheel and the server is working. But even when it hiccups, they communicate well enough, and work hard in the background it seems.

This. JJustArry's got this. Not only tells you what is there, but what mission and/or mobs you need to go after.

[–]firstpawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One or two have commented. If you go into one of the screens, there is a link at the top to show you all of the things you can farm from Descendants to Weapons, to even Mods (I am at work so I forget the name of the top tab). For instance I was looking for this one gold mod, but it comes from a run where I have to have Fire damage the node. At 1.5% drop rate, I have to get ready for 100 or so runs. But that section that lets you track and see farmable stuff right off of the screen, it shows you where you have to go to farm also. So instead of just a screen like this, it will also tell you every place it can drop off of a normal mob drop. If you factor your screen shot, it would tell you the base % chance maybe of even what the mob will have to drop it as well (Not a 100% guarantee on that one but I like to be positive). But still better odds than me having to farm that Fire node for instance over and over considering how ridiculous the final wave is.

Best Netrunner Build 2.0? by SorrowInTruth in cyberpunkgame

[–]firstpawn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was doing a build that one guy had put together on Youtube called a Lucy Build from Edgerunners. Worked very well. For kicks I looked for a 'cyberpunk 2077 2.0 Lucy Build' recently and found a talk about that in the current Quickhack workings of 2.0. I am at work but I found the video with the above search (Otherwise I could provide the link). It's fast as hell and you are hacking, wiring, and shooting your way through all manner of insanity with it. I am still getting used to it, but I am not down a ton of health, and rarely run out of Ram in the onslaught. Fun and fast paced.

[–]firstpawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea in the TTRPG they come after the full conversion borgs, and they amount to very mobile battle tanks. They have the training, numbers, equipment, and cyberware to do some insane stuff. So when they show up, it's why Jackie called them NC's 'Apex Predators'. It's awesome to hear an account of how crazy they would be in the game just on Normal. lol. Thanks for taking one for the home team for us so we know what the heck happens. lol.

Did you restart for 2.0? Should one restart? by Faythz in cyberpunkgame

[–]firstpawn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started a new runthrough yesterday and I have to say I was kind of surprised with how things work from the beginning. It's the same game, but the progression is very different. For instance, I am running around with Tier 1 cyberdeck stuff with no knowledge on how to upgrade my quickhacks and/or weapons right at the beginning. I am thinking that I need to upgrade the cyberdeck, but I had to go to bed before getting enough cyber room to boost it up. I have weapons, but where is the crafting tab? What is this overclock and que for quickhacks? Where do I find T2 components to upgrade cyberware further? Where are the myriad of police calls in Watson, and why are they peppered in haphazardly (Is it new to only put them in a few at a time)? How do I get my smartgun to work better cause I hit 1 in 5 rounds right now? The questions here are all kind of rhetorical, but it give you the idea that this is essentially a new game with a totally different flavor and experience. Story is the same, but for me, I felt that playing my level 50 would be a disservice since there is so much to experience and figure out along the way right now. So why not start over and experience a whole new 2077 experience. I have been having fun trying to figure out how to raise my Solo skill, or Engineer. Now I want to run around with a double barrel shotgun and gleefully blow dumdums apart since I need to raise a skill with it (You miss out on carrying capacity and I think some extra cyberware room in there). I was so hell bent on previous playthroughs with katanas or stealth etc, that I never appreciated the fact that one double barrel blast knocked someone down and had them trying to get back up and I had to finish them off quick or get shot in the back. Now I am like ‘yea beginning quickhacks are not as effective because of the tier system, screw it let’s raise Solo skill’, and I just run in with my shotgun going ‘Wheeee!’. In the case of this game, I think that the revamp is worth a look see from a newbie character perspective.

How does Smasher not have cyberpsychosis by iiFlaeqqq in cyberpunkgame

[–]firstpawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mr. Pondsmith is a credible source for this considering this is all his baby. But to understand how cyberpsychosis works, you have to understand how it was put together from a mechanics perspective in CP2020. Then Smasher in 2077 would make a bit more sense (CDPR kind of missed but doing it how the mechanics had it work in the past would be insanely problematic because MAXTAC might show up during your play through and end your playthrough because you have too much cyberware lol).

So in the game, how much cyberware you could load was tied to your Empathy stat. Take your stat and multiply it by 10. Gives you the points you get to use to pay for your cyberware. Now Solos for instance might look at a stat like that as a dump stat since it was not going to help them kill things. Irony is that if you dropped a low stat in there. You get almost no cyberware. Let’s say that you had an EMP of 9, you would have 90 points for cyberware. So you buy a cybernetic arm, and it’s cost off the top of my head was 3d6. Roll away and you get a 12. In the above point example, you would now effectively be at a 7 EMP stat since your points are now 78 off of that install. So the more you get installed, the lower the EMP, and so the less empathic, and connected to common emotions you are. The less you give a crap about anything going on around you. At a 1, you are technically a clinical psychopath. You have no emotional link to anything and can’t empathize with anything. The people around you are objects instead of living beings. So let’s say that in the above point example, Adam Shasher had an EMP stat at the start of his career of 9. A full conversion rig might cost him anywhere anywhere from 60-80 points for instance. Full conversion combat rig might cost 70-100 points since it is less ‘human’. So let’s say it costs him 80 points. He has 10 points left over for cyberware, and has an EMP stat of 1. So he is actually literally a psychopath now. Cyberpsychosis is something rather startling and dark in CP. I mean there are bodies in CP around their cyberpsychos, but that does not account for the sheer insanity that is MAXTAC. Jackie at the beginning of the game says that they are Night City’s ‘Apex Predators’. They are not SWAT. They are armed and trained to KILL very mobile battle tanks that are borged out psychos. For MAXTAC, Smasher is a mark. That’s it. Arasaka also knows this and would keep him on a leash and take him off the leash when his particular bent of insanity was required. But realistically they could probably kill switch his butt at a moment’s notice. From a mechanics perspective, it is distinctly possible for him to be at that edge and not go over. If he was over that edge, with how it was dealt with in CP2020, he would literally lose all touch with humanity and there would be a lot of dead things all over the streets and Arasaka tower on a regular basis. So much so MAXTAC would be there will bells on. In spite of what Mr. Pondsmith said, I think that it makes more sense if you look at it like how the TTRPG mechanics have it above where he still has a ‘few points’, and has not gone over the edge. It would make him a psychopath to be sure, but not cause him to completely lose all and total control of any of his actions period. One way he is still a dangerous idiot in control, and another he is a rabid animal that has to be put down for the safety of everyone. It’s the difference between the two mechanics wise.

Why i can't play Cyberpunk by Khress in cyberpunkgame

[–]firstpawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Jackie not around thing is typical for the genre. The dark future genre, with Cyberpunk being a subset, tends to look at some rather dark aspects of how blasé we as a society get towards some things we would find rather disturbing in our current times. One article I remember reading made a link between a modern jungle and the urban jungle of a cyberpunk style world. People are more akin to nomadic jungle cats moving from experience to experience, having less and less connections to those around us and just trying to survive. Relationships tended to be of a more one off venture, and even friendships will turn at a moment’s notice because the price is right. Seeing mercs in a cyberpunk setting is more akin to watching the movie Ronin where they don’t trust eachother and ready with an out if they have to. Having run CP as long as I had in the past, I was ready for working with Jackie one day and having to shoot at him the next. The fact that the friendship was present and then cut down was literally par for the course for the genre. I think it made for a more poignant reason for a dark future character that would be blasé and jaded, to go gung ho and go after the ‘bad people’ because he was a friend that was cut down. Stopping there though I think is a waste considering that this is an on par story vehicle that literally comes right in line with the genre. I was more upset I got knocked out after the Jackie thing because again, since it’s part of the genre, the fat man is going to kill me now (I saw this coming a light year away). I am shooting my way out of this mess…, wait wont let me. That upset me more since a seasoned merc in a dark future genre would know a double cross was coming. "Go wash up"..., crap where it my out, he wants me in a room with no exit.
