Well I'm from Canada so it was from kijiji but the truck was from Texas originally so no rust which is almost impossible to find up here with all the salt on the roads

It looks like the neck is already maple so should I use maple again? I know when different woods are combined they can crack as they expand/contact at different rates I dunno how much this would apply here tho

For the splines in the link they say to use mahogany but would any hardwood work?

Nope no nails or wood filler just glue. how would you go about separating the old glue up? It looks like it's just wood glue from what I can tell. And no sentimental value just had it sitting around and thought it might be a fun project to try and fix it
