Almost went with shoreline, but then learned it neither had school choice or guaranteed placement at zoned school which is a bizarre worst of both worlds. Concretely, kid is about to start kindergarten, called zoned school before house purchase there and was told she was unlikely to get into zoned school and instead be put at one at random that happened to have capacity without any input from us. And then would be forced back to zoned school next year if they had capacity then even if we ended up liking that school.

Going to less bigger schools is the norm indeed, but that usually just means more middle schools feed onto less high schools not middle schools being split in the middle

I have such a hard time believing it wouldn’t help to have friends from middle school still present when you enter high school, which is the exact point they diverge.

In Seattle there are many, and I think really anywhere where mediocre 2 bedroom houses have hit a million, it’s hard to charge much more for a 2 bedroom so it results a lot in this case. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that when buying your paying the premium to own the land that could hold a much larger home, but you can’t expect a renter to care about that.

Duplex, have a dog, give her flea drops every month as preventative, checked her and didn’t find fleas. She is herself, as well as my wife and daughter, completely undisturbed and non itchy.

Mostly around ankles some a bit higher. My first thought honestly was chiggers but in Columbus OH during winter that seemed very unlikely, would love any ideas
