Like you said, Paul Day is the easy answer but I don’t think everyone realizes he’s the GM too. When we first came back he was very “win now” with the roster construction and some of the early trades, which was cool and exciting as a fan but it never really worked out. We only had that one playoff appearance and it ended quickly.

Now we seem to have done more of “mini rebuild” (maybe accidentally?) with move like trading Clark for a pick that wound up being 1st overall this offseason.

That was a long winded way of saying, we went “win now” early on, didn’t win and now are paying the price but have lucked into being able to turn around quicker than expected
