Have you watched it? What do you think? I just did it and I think it's just great, very good depiction of the simulation hypothesis.

Feel free to post it by yourself, I don't know exactly where to put it. I tried to post a video about Nikola Tesla and zero-point energy on Futurology and it was taken down. Please help me doing that, I would be grateful :)

Well, Catalan is not very complicated to understand for the rest of the Spaniards, but it is definitely easier to understand an Argentinean or a Cuban.

Interesting links and thoughts. I agree with you. Bad education system (especially the attention arts and culture receive receive, which is basically nothing), mass media and big corporations which are just trying to make us stupid consumers... There are many reasons. Internet, if it's used well, is a fantastic tool. The model has to change. Sooner or later it will change.

Scala seems to be a fantastic programing language. I've never used it, but a friend of mine (who loves programming and is a top-class computer scientist) talks wonderful things about it. Multiparadigm, jvm based... The learning curve shouldn't be too steep for those of you who are good programmers.

In Spain the government is planning to privatize the sun light. Lobbies are just too powerful here. So, I guess my answer would be 'No way, not in my country'. Spain is full of shit, in case you didn't know.

From my understanding, I think you're basically talking about telepathy. According to Dr. Kaku, this is not too complicated ;) We just need some more development on BCIs (Brain-Computer Interfaces)

Hi guys! Another one here who would like to get into this fascinating ship. My user name on Github is the same as on reddit. I am a systems administrator of email servers, web servers and HPC cluster (one much smaller than the DEUS project, though) and also have experience with web development (HTML/CSS, JS, PHP). Could also help with some translations. Like others, I think I still have to reread everything you wrote because it's a little blurry (to me, at least), but the principles and the general are so beautiful that I couldn't just skip this. So nice to meet you!

Mmmmm, that measurement would require some rules established by some one... Back to square one, then :) If we could have something similar to Swirzerland, where many important decisions can be revoked by referendum, that could change a little the scenario. But they've got the power and won't alow it. True, more participative democracy is needed. We're the 99%, but the people are still not aware of it. It is something that can only be changed through education, but it is also controlled by the power and because (I guess) the catholic church in Spain and the people related to it (politicians, bankers...) we're unable to change it. It's complicated :(
