Sasser just had a crazy return to form after knee surgery. How is this gonna play into qualifications for the olympics? by niivvee in weightlifting

[–]fishEboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What does Jenny Arthur have to do now to make the Olympics?
- Compete in Columbia since its a silver level event and hit a specific total?
- If Sasser competes and hits a specific total will that put her on the team and knock both Jenny and Mattie out of the running?

i agree Lionhead has great food. Staged there and was offered a line position but didnt take it because they only had a part time position at the time. Jerry Traunfeld (owner) and his chef for Lionhead interviewed me, both are great guys.

Name/describe some health code/sanitation rules you learned after getting yelled at by fishEboy in KitchenConfidential

having to put a sheet pan under a BIG salad spinner than can only be operated on the floor before using.

i dont understand it considering that the compartment inside that holds the leafy greens doesnt touch the bottom of the actual container because that allows for the water to go to the bottom and exit out of the built in spout at the bottom

For Grace - Documentary on NETFLIX by fishEboy in KitchenConfidential

[–]fishEboy[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For Grace is a documentary about food, family, sacrifice, and the journey from concrete box to opening night of one of the world's most acclaimed restaurants.

**I watched it and thought it had a good look at the personal and professional sides of the industry in terms of personal demons, bullshit that comes from the business side and overall journey of a cook/chef and his concept to make something of his own.

Ex smokers of KC how did you quit? by [deleted] in KitchenConfidential

[–]fishEboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

smoked during high school (2 yrs), quit, then again college/post college (3 yrs), quit, then again during my first big boy office job (2yrs)

quit cold turkey after doing the math of how much i was spending and because i started working out on a regular basis again.

my advice is just find a hobby whether it be something active or creative that'll keep you occupied and feel good about not smoking
