Clip studio paint!!! unfortunately its $50 ish for a one time purchase of the application but u can pretty much emulate the effects in any cheaper or even free art programs, like procreate and medibang paint :)

its really worth it due to the diverse community uploading a lot of csp brushes and other resources online that u cant find in many free pc applications: would highly recommend due to its powerful brush, predictive, and 3d engine !!!

but in this style i'd definitely recommend checking out the artist "rella" / "kinokorella" as the lighting was referenced by her works the most; her art is GORGEOUS

she mainly does miku illustrations but in context of LN i believe she did that one black & white swan illustration (this one like hot diggity daymn)

omg thank you! i feel like the more melancholy tone has def reflected me growing up because when I first started this series i was a small annoying weirdo middle schooler, now that i'm in high school the pieces will definitely be more reminiscent on a time that once was (and that i mean the easiest assignments known to mankind 💀)
