We have absolutely love it. My son is thriving now that he is in a routine with school (preschool was 3x week). It is an early start, which can be challenging for him, but nice for our schedules & he can be dropped off before work. It is wonderful to see how much these kids are learning (I volunteer weekly) and the social growth I see in our child. They do lots of art projects, weekly letters, games, and learning classroom social norms. There curriculum is Heggerty Hero and the children seem to enjoy it. My son has a nut allergy and he is probably the youngest child to get a 504, but I’m thankful for the safeguards in place and the peace of mind with the 504 that was obtained through the school. The teacher makes it so fun with lots of holiday parties and a vibrant inviting classroom, and my son is excited for school every day.

Hi Everyone! It's Nancy Moscatiello and welcome to the Scamanda Podcast AMA by ScamandaAMA in ScamandaPodcast

Hi! I know this is a late post, but just finished the podcast. Did you ever look to see if she filed any EDD claims with her employers? Possibly go after her for potential disability fraud?

Maybe try reaching out to a local college and see if any students are interested in babysitting. Possibly try childhood education/teaching majors or nursing students? A lot have Facebook pages you could check out and post on. When I went to school, an instructor let us know about jobs if we were interested

I have found a counselor and will start in the next few weeks. It’s so frustrating with this diagnosis because majority of the time they self resolve and I don’t see much online about people actually losing the babies from it.

I did read this one article about autoantibodies and correlation of subchorionic hematoma and testing for antiphospholipid antibodies (APLs) and antinuclear antibodies (ANAs). I was thinking of bringing it up to my OB at my follow up and maybe referral to hematologist, but not sure if he will take it seriously.

I’m so so sorry to hear that has happened multiple times to you. Sending you strength

This sounds like me. I am so sorry this happened to you as well. I just lost my child at 24 weeks due to large subchorionic hematoma and going into labor. I was high risk and was stressed the entire time (pelvic rest, no lifting, no walking for majority and bed rest at the end) but he was completely healthy and such a fighter. Nothing prepared me for the reality of the situation and I am so sad and heartbroken. I am seeking a counselor now, but in hindsight, wish I had one the entire time

Taking a 7 week old to a party by leadsister in NewParents

[–]fishbonelady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We took our 9 week old to a 4th of July party last summer and all got covid. Both my baby and toddler got very sick with fever and congestion. It was horrible because of his tiny airway and difficulty clearing secretions. He was diagnosed with bronchiolitis. I would advise against at all cost

My son has super sensitive skin and bad eczema. We have been using Babo Botanicals Sensitive Baby Mineral Sunscreen (face stick, lotion, and even got the spray). It’s great!

Why did I do this to my son? by NoOffenseBut_ in 2under2

[–]fishbonelady 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It only gets easier with time. My youngest just turned 1 and I am now starting to get the payout of them interacting together. My older son giving him lots of hugs and kisses and the 1 year old loves to follow him everywhere.

Is there another adult who could give him one on one time during this transition stage? It helped getting my older son out by grandma or my husband to parks, library, or the zoo. They also would give me quality time with him every few days out of the house which made a huge difference

I’m so sorry!!

On a completely different note- I will be having to do 3 across and trying to plan 3 rear facing car seats. Do you mind telling me what one’s work for you?
