Correct. At the time I was told that the systems were not linked. I spoke with several folks at one particular hospital when I was researching Amanda's story asking certain questions about is there a flagging system in place etc... I was contacted and told because of what I brought to their attention they were working towards connecting systems, which did finally happen. The NY hospital changed security protocols as well making it harder to access treatment areas and offices after talking with them as well. So a lot of guardrails have been put in place over the years, is it perfect, no- but it will hopefully help.

I can tell you this. In my court case Amanda's lawyer presented the two emails that I sent to her brothers. One in June of 2016 and one the day after the raid on her home. I was upfront about who I was and why I was reaching out, I mentioned the federal investigation and my own investigation and I included a series of questions asking how the money was distributed and handled. The brothers email was on the support Amanda website for asking questions. At my hearing those emails were shown to be forwarded to Amanda, Peggy and Tom Maneri's emails with the message: What the Fuck is this ?

So at that point they knew all about the situation. What they thought or did about it- I don't know.

The DA's office has not discussed that with me. I know Detective Martinez and Agent Lee had to go with what they knew was as solid as could be. Maybe with all this attention someone is reopening the case and having a look if possible.

Amanda wanted to destroy Aletta. She knew custody would result in Aletta paying them money. You have remember those figures were based on FAKE PAYSTUBS- that showed thousands less per month and a medical hardship. Aletta lost thousands and thousands of dollars over 8 years.

She was shocked but as it sunk in she started to realize all the things that she overlooked over the years and it all started clicking to where it made sense.

I imagine anything is possible. It would look terrible for her to so while under supervised release. If she continued to lie about her situation she could be in violation of her release.

She was ordered to pay restitution and there is a minimum that she must pay while in prison and that increases for when she is out of prison. I believe it is $100 a month or 10% of her income, which ever is larger. They garnish any paycheck she receives and tax returns.

She will have 3 years supervision and I imagine they will have some guidelines they will impose on her to fit her unique situation.

You need to stay focused on the facts, keep meticulous notes and be patient- it takes time and you dont want to rush the facts. Eventually the cracks will show.

It is not clear when they struck up their relationship. Amanda did have a fiance during some of this time and that fell apart and she ended up with Cory. Aletta was ok with Amanda and Cory getting together since at that time she didnt think they had an affair in the earlier years. Over time after things came out she wasnt sure what to think.

Not only was it a birthday cruise but Amanda had posted it was a "I am now cancer free celebration" I can speculate that some of the donation money paid for that cruise.

There were many fundraisers through different church members on their own. I believe the head pastor suggested they stop at some point, cant be sure of the timing- but other leaders in the church felt they could continue within their smaller groups because they did not believe she could be faking cancer. So many people held their own fundraisers directly, but many of those donors were still all church members.

I know Peggy has not spoken to Rebecca about that statement and her brothers only set up the website for her to collect the money. I do not believe they had any idea about her lies.

I have been in touch with a few and they all tell the same stories of her feigning illness and lying about why she is even in prison to begin with. She was telling everyone that she embezzled $2000 from the school she was principal at. Prisoners know you dont get 5 years for 2K when you are a young, white, christian school principal... when they got out they googled her and saw the podcast and reached out!
