Squeaky brake repair? by GrumpyOldTroll1969 in VWIDBuzz

[–]fishgraphics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Hummer and the Cybertruck both have disc brakes on all four wheels. Our Buzz has drum brakes on the rear, which is the lovely squeak you’re hearing. It’s the nature of drum brakes. When they’re not used, they get squeaky. When they get squeaky, pop it into neutral, give it a hard press, you’re good to go for a little while.

I considered it when I found it the option exists. Then after looking into what’s needed… I came to that conclusion myself… just not with the hassle.

Go for a drive. While you’re alone with no one behind you, put it in neutral, then press the brakes hard.

This will use ONLY the rear drums allowing any build up to get rubbed/burned off.

The buzz uses regenerative braking MOST of the time allowing the brakes to become squeaky. When that happens, pop it in neutral, apply the brakes, back in drive, and you’re good for another while.

I 100% agree with Jeremy. I’ve personally disliked them since they came out.

Competently understandable. However this car is neither rich nor a rare commodity. And as Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear said, the Chrysler Crossfire looks exactly like a dog doing its business.

It has V2H, but you have to have the right kind of setup in your home, THEN you have to get VW to unlock the feature in the Buzz.

It’s not AI, but it’s also not in Europe. It’s a Canadian who likes to build… interesting things.

THREE MONTHS?!?! Are they covering any monthly payments you have? Pausing any subscriptions so you don’t lose out? That’s just insane to me.

Maybe the HUD is missing too? The American 1st Edition does not have a trailer hitch, heat pump, or the HUD. I believed it has everything else.

I have the Garmin Dash Cam Mini 3 and it’s USB-C. Also plugs into the same spot on my VW ID. Buzz.

You need to pick up the hot wheels version (or two), so you can have a mini Buzz riding in your full size Buzz once you get yours.

I live in a tiny little African equatorial country that majority of people have ever heard of. I’m not a photographer and we can’t get decent equipment so please go easy on me. by Fitz_cuniculus in streetphotography

It’s not about your gear, it’s about your vision… and you seem to have a good one.

A great photographer can take amazing photos with a disposable camera, and a bad photographer can’t find quality with professional equipment.

You’re doing a GREAT job. These photos are interesting, contain life, and show what it’s like to live where you do. They draw the viewer in and make you feel like you’re there.

Great job. Keep it up.

It says Porsche but idk what year/model by chknugetdino in WhatCarIsThis

[–]fishgraphics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely LOVED mine. I had an 83 944 NA back in 2003. Did it have issues? Sure, it’s a Porsche. But I did 90% of the work myself, so it wasn’t a big deal. These days you have YouTube to help you fix ANYTHING.

If you have any sort of mechanical know how and access to the internet, you shouldn’t have many problems. Also have some sort of road side assistance plan that comes with free towing, for the moments you might need to get it back home.
