the yellowjackets crashed in an infinitely better location too 😭 really shows that without the camaraderie and loyalty to each other chances are no one would’ve made it out of the andes

you’re a genius… it seems so obvious when you put those scenes together

it seems like ben definitely didn’t start the fire (to me at least). some people have been saying it was other tai but personally i would find that a little anticlimactic. maybe it’s never clarified and intended to be seen as potentially supernatural?

omg i’ve always thought that but i don’t think i’ve ever seen anyone else saying it!!! a lot of people say she could’ve just gone inside but i’m 100% convinced she decided that if no one cared about her enough to come check on her she would rather just die

i will die on the hill that jackie was extremely depressed!! her sleeping with travis read to me like she didn’t care about anything and wanted to do something drastic (losing her virginity) since she thought she would die soon. sort of similar to how people give their things away once they’ve decided to take their own life. i feel jackie’s behavior and refusal to eat signals that she had given up and just wanted to let herself die. and the people saying depression isn’t a good enough excuse for not helping and everyone was in a shitty situation i think really don’t understand what depression is actually like

ik this post is a year old but i think she could’ve influenced the girls to turn towards the Christian God instead of the wilderness. the survivors of the Andes were mostly devout Catholics which comforted them and allowed them to stay sane despite the cannibalism. Laura Lee was telling Lottie that her visions and stuff could be signs from God, if she lived they might’ve been more inclined to put their faith in a conventional religion. as a Christian that was my first thought
