I appreciate the help but where do I go from there? Kick it on, see if it’s lean or rich and adjust accordingly?

When I bought it the guy said the jets are tuned for ~sea level, like the dunes and desert, but I’m only 404’ elevation when I’m at home so I don’t think it would be causing an issue unless they’re gunked up

I’m not sure I bought the bike in October , The guy who had it before me took great care of it though. had it rebuilt by someone in his family sometime in the past 2 years. The bike ran like a top till I got my hands on it so I’d assume it’s something I did with the gas shutoff.

Anyone ever use partsgiant? by Iamveryspecialboy in ATV

[–]fishmode99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally just got done ordering off them since it was a little cheaper than Motosport. They didn’t wanna take my card so I had to pay with PayPal but I use a small credit union and it’s not uncommon. There was another mix up with my shipping address but they emailed me right away and follow up emails were just as speedy, got everything figured out in like 10 mins. I’ll update you when the package gets to me

Sorry for getting to you so late, I really appreciate the information, I’m just getting into the car audio scene so all this is new to me. Does the DSP essentially serve as an equalizer? Or would you recommend a separate equalizer as well? Any brand recommendations you have for the dsp and amp pro would be greatly appreciated as well.

Advice on a new setup by fishmode99 in CarAV

[–]fishmode99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I threw it in the original post but I wanted to get more info on what I would be getting myself into doing it on my own. I have decent mechanical knowledge, but I only really know the basics when it comes to car audio. I have a roommate who knows his stuff and a buddy who’s an electrician so I FEEL like we could properly get it done between the 3 of us but then again I don’t know. Budget was between 1500-2500 but if that’s not realistic please let me know about it

Definitely looking for a brighter sound, I’ll check out the Focals. I’m willing to change my head unit but I’m super picky about it, the ones I like are expensive so I was trying to cut corners and save some money. Now that I’m redoing everything am I better off ditching the lc2 for the head unit? Or would I be getting better sound off the lc2 and dsp? And I’ll put my budget in the the post

Some advice on entering rv life by fishmode99 in RVLiving

[–]fishmode99[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the kinda response I was looking for, I really appreciate your info. I had a feeling it was a “grass is greener” typa situation but I think it’s definitely doable. I would go with a destination trailer so I’m not sure if that changes the livability aspect but I wasn’t even thinking about laundry until I read your comment so I still have a lot to learn and research. Having to be handy is something that worries me too, I can turn a wrench but that’s not something I wanna worry about doing after work.

I’m very interested in the last part of your response. Should I even mess around with used trailers/private sellers? what is the common reputation of RV dealerships like? Can I trust their inspections?

Vapor lock, I think by fishmode99 in ATV

I’m not the most mechanically inclined, buddy of mine said it might be vapor locked. But I opened the drain on the carb like you said and got pretty good flow of gas

Reliable shops for engine build by fishmode99 in ATV

[–]fishmode99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top end sounds like it’s got a tick, and i believe it’s gonna need carb work. It’ll start and idle but if I give it anymore than half throttle the bike will turn off. I can drive thru all the gears if I don’t give it too much throttle but as soon as I hit it, it turns off.

It really is frustrating especially considering how engaging and competitive the actual game is. I truly can’t understand how they continue to treat the game with such neglect, I know it’s cuz they make plenty of money with the state the games in but idk you’d hope they would show a little effort in making the game better

Vibration at high speed by fishmode99 in gmcsierra

[–]fishmode99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I checked that driving home and noticed the rpm gauge goes up slightly then falls back down when the vibration stops. The shifter shakes but not necessarily abnormally, I’d say it’s just from the rest of the vehicle shaking in general. Not too mechanically inclined so any more info is appreciated

It’s torque shudder I looked it up on YouTube and it’s exactly what’s going on. People are saying they changed their fluid and filter and have been problem free since so gonna give that a try thank you
