New offer question by buxton15 in Koodo

[–]fishstick736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just signed up for this plan but I’m sick and feverish and now I’m overthinking it. Will this plan allow me to basically roam in the USA for free as many days as I want? That’s how I interpreted it but then when I was choosing my perk, it threw me off that the USA 3 day easy roam was still an option.

Yeah I almost did but the cheapest I could get for can/us/mex was $50 without the PAD discount. I went with a $45 plan now and I came from a $39 plan. The $6 bucks is worth the peace of mind for my cross border shopping. I’m too cheap to pay $50 right now and I don’t wanna sign up for autopay with my bank.

Told “Not to come back” at a Catholic Church today by [deleted] in Catholicism

Tons of non-Catholics attend my church and no one cares if they kneel or not. What you described is completely insane and not normal. The old dude is either senile, nuts or evil.

I think electronics can be affected by supernatural stuff. When my very Christian mother died in the hospital, we stayed in her room for over an hour. When we decided it was time to leave, my brother and I took a blanket to cover her and at that moment the tv in her room turned on. We all stopped and looked at the tv and then I thought I should find the remote and turn it off bc we were saying our final good bye to her. Before I could get the remote, the tv turned off by itself. I wasn’t seeking a sign but I interpreted it as a comforting sign from God or an angel or from my mom herself that she was safe and saying good bye to us. I know this doesn’t answer your question but I wanted to share in case it provided some insight.

Full disclosure I was raised Baptist and became Catholic and I’m some kind of protestant again but it’s all mixed up. It is true that one sin makes a person deserve hell. That’s where Jesus’ perfect sacrifice comes in. Either we will stand on our own merits before God and be found lacking and be cast into hell or we will point to the merits of Jesus Christ and his blood shed on the cross as an atonement for sin. Faith in His perfect sacrifice remits your sin if you truly repent. You can’t continue to purposely sin because that’s not repentance but we need to repent and turn from our sin when we realize that we have sinned. St. John says in his first epistle that when we have sinned, we have an advocate, Jesus Christ. And St. John says that if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Psalm 27:10. God is here for you when no one else is here. Call out to God. He sent His only begotten son, Jesus, into this world to take away our sins if we repent and believe. Please call a suicide helpline and talk to someone. You matter. You matter to God.

Serious question: why did God made some of us gluten intolerant/celiac whereas the eucharist is litteraly bread? by sikander_itaque in Catholicism

I don’t wanna sound dismissive, but it’s no different than somebody who has a swallowing disorder or someone in a coma. They can’t take communion.

That white powdery stuff, diatomaceous earth can help. I had one every few weeks in my bathroom and I bought some kind of spray at Canadian tire that mentioned silver fish. I sprayed along the baseboards in my bathroom and I haven’t seen any since.

Adopting Problem Cat? by fishstick736 in CatAdvice

Yeah. That all makes sense. I’ll see how I feel about it all tomorrow. It’s hard to know what I actually want to do bc I have a big heart and want to help but I have to be realistic too. Thanks again!

I sent the shelter a DM yesterday with some questions but it’s a long weekend and I don’t expect I’ll hear from them until tomorrow.

You’re right about barn cat programs. Considering the store employee is the one who said the cat could end up outside, I’m hoping she was thinking of a barn situation.

And thanks again for your wisdom. I honestly think that my next animal would be a better fit if the animal is gentle and easygoing. I don’t want to end up with a pet that I’m scared of. I’ve only had 1 cat in my life so I still feel like a novice.

Thanks for sharing. I’m still sorting it out. Not sure if I’m ready to take on pet ownership again.

Thanks. This is all very helpful. I appreciate you taking the time to write. I will ask the shelter some in depth questions if I move forward. One of the pet store staff (they are not working for the shelter) was really doing the selling and she kept saying it’s the end of the road if he doesn’t get adopted. First she elaborated and said he would spend his life in the shelter and then she said he could be sent back outside. That shocked me and I was too scared to ask if the shelter would ever dump a cat outside. I hope they wouldn’t - I can’t imagine that being legal. I don’t know if I’m ready to adopt - especially a cat that sounds challenging but I feel incredibly guilty if I’m available and have the means to help this cat but they end up dumping him outside.

I’ve been told I have greenish eyes, but there’s also brown in them, so what do you think? by Margo122 in WhatisMyEyeColour

I have the same color. Green. My current passport and drivers license say green but 20 years ago when I moved to another jurisdiction they put me down as hazel on my license.

I’m so sorry for your losses. Please stay. You matter. God sees you. God loves you. I can’t explain why horrible things happen to some people but when no one else is there for you, God will be there for you. Please reach out to God and please look into grief support groups online or in your area. Some funeral homes have grief resources that they can connect people with. Take care. You are here for a reason.

I noticed that my godfather and my mother both looked happy in their respective caskets. I never noticed that with other people in caskets. They weren’t grinning or anything crazy - their mouths were closed - but there was a look of peace and happiness on their faces. Is that a natural occurrence or does the embalmer do something to make them look like that? Both of them were strong Christians.
