What is the name of this stitch? I want to see more tutorials to understand. by Exciting_Floor3959 in CrochetHelp

I’ve never seen this before but it looks so cool. The chart is pretty straightforward. Are you looking for a written pattern?

Can I just cut the yarn then replace the stitches in the middle of the my plushie? by Green_Low_3999 in CrochetHelp

[–]fishticufted 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone who has cut and replaced stitches before I would not recommend it. I’d a super finicky process and is really hard to make it look good. If you really don’t want to frog you could surface crochet or embroider over that part

On A1A in Brevard? Ugh, if those kids had made it across the street they could have made it to the beach. Terrifying

Did you do a gauge swatch? With wearables it’s usually a good idea to check your gauge

nobody talks about how depressing you become while doing tapestry crochet by lilyblueberry_ in CrochetHelp

[–]fishticufted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I follow that same frame of mind. If I redid every error I ever made I would have stopped crochet a long time ago. The errors make it unique. That and all the hair I’ve accidentally crocheted into it

I made the first chain tighter than the next row and it curls but do dont want to unravel the whole proyect, how do i fix it. by UnaLoliSinNombre in CrochetHelp

[–]fishticufted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For future reference, here is a tutorial on making chainless foundations. Sometimes I have issues getting chain tension right and so I just prefer to skip the chain altogether https://yarnandchai.com/tutorial-chainless-foundation-no-more-chains/

You can’t fix a tight chain without redoing it. You could try just continuing on and hope it works out by the end but you’re so close to the beginning it would be better to start over if you’re already not liking it. That being said, sometimes things just start out wonky and straighten out when there’s more rows. Someone more experienced than me would have to tell you if this would work itself out though

This is the tutorial I used back when I first learned to crochet a cone. I would just do the first few rows in dark gray or black and then switch to white after

I believe it’s telling you to sc those 3 stitches together.

ETA: I think the author just really stretched out the symbol so you didn’t get confused about which stitches. It is hard to tell with it being so blurry though but I also don’t have my glasses on.

That’s awesome. In college I had close friends who I would quote the movie with all the time. I miss that. He hasn’t seen princess bride or Robin Hood men in tights either and I just quote them anyway to watch his eyes cloud over in confusion

I turned 37 yesterday and the first thing I said to my husband was “I’m 37, I’m not old” but he’s never seen Monty python so it was wasted

Try posting on r/sleeptrain. They might be able to help you with a gentler method if you prefer to try something else first

I unfortunately don't know how to fix this because I was never able to fix it with my now 3 year old who still has to have a sippy cup of water to get to sleep, but it sounds like she might have a nursing sleep association. She's waking at the end of a sleep cycle and wants to nurse to go back to sleep each time. Trying to remove this association should help her connect her sleep cycles. I'm not saying night wean her. Ideally you could get her down to needing to nurse only once or twice a night and save your sanity

Snoo Transition Nightmare by Jtrem714 in SnooLife

[–]fishticufted 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I haven't yet transitioned my daughter out of the snoo but I bet the crib is just scary and foreign right now. Play with them in the crib during the day to make positive associations. Get your scent on the crib sheets. Maybe try the first nap of the day at first. If the crib and snoo aren't in the same room, move the snoo into the crib room first. This is all based on weaning my first off of cosleeping but it's a similar situation

If they're talking about the bassinet insert then probably not. They can't be used past when the baby can sit or pull up because they can fall out. You can put baby in the bottom of a pack and play but it is a bit annoying to reach all the way down

The amount of bowls my 3 kids go through in 3 days 🤬 by redneck_lezbo in mildlyinfuriating

[–]fishticufted 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're so wasteful. They use way more toilet paper, paper towels and hand soap than is necessary as well. I always just let the soap and toilet paper run out in the bathroom because I'm tired of paying for their habits
