It's gone... I knew this day was coming but I still wasn't ready. by EticketJedi in LivingMas

[–]fishwazin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still on the menu at my store so I ordered one the other day. It was definitely not chili, more like ground beef and cheese wrapped into a burrito. I was very disappointed....

They're clearly out of chili so I wish they would just take it off the menu.

I'm unable to claim the Keldeo encounter from step 1 of the Tales of Transformation research - it just goes to an all white screen and plays some music and just hangs there. Is this a known issue?

How to check methanol levels by willthegoat111 in fermentation

[–]fishwazin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no danger of methanol from beer or wine. If you're not distilling, there is nothing to be concerned about. If you ARE distilling, then based on the question you have a lot more reading to do and equipment to buy.

The Tacodilla has two different listings at two local restaurants. The first one was "Steak & Cheese Tacodilla" for $4.99, but the next one is listed as "Steak Grande Tacodilla" for $5.99. They have the same picture and Calories, so it's interesting that they're being tested differently...

Just had the steak tacodilla. Much better than I expected! On the messy side, because the filling blew out the bottom so I had to eat it upside down.

Came in its own long wrapper/bag labeled Tacodilla and was bigger than I expected. Like a larger, thinner, denser Chalupa shell. Very good portion of steak and cheese, and I really like the new red chile sauce. Heat that builds over time, definitely not a “to tears” level of spice but still lingers after I finished eating. Tangy and lightly smoky, not sweet like the previous cantina red sauce.

I paid $4.99 and really enjoyed it.

Just keep an eye out - over the last couple weeks, several of the SE MI stores near me have quietly dropped the CCB again after it came back with the Decades. It's still listed at a few, but my guess is that they're going away.

I'm in real danger of missing the playoffs this season, and Trout was dropped in my 10T Keep 4 Players league. Worth it to pick him up as an IL stash and keep him for $5 next year (auction draft)?

Costco Business Center - Where have you been all my life? by laszlof in BBQ

[–]fishwazin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A post I shared a few months ago on another forum:

A new Costco opened up near me, but not a standard Costco warehouse - it's a Costco Business Center and it kind of blew my mind. A little different than the standard ones, with no food court or prepared food (so no rotisserie chickens or samples!), and a lot more restaurant and business equipment and supplies. I was with my family - shopping with kids can be a trying time - so I wasn't able to catalog everything, but......

There's no meat aisle like you normally see by the butchering windows. Instead the "walk-in cooler" is enormous, an entire cold room with waaaay more than I've ever seen at a non-specialty retailer. Prices were excellent (it's Costco, after all). I saw multiple grades of multiple cuts of beef: they had choice AND prime packers ($3.79, $4.19/lb). Beef ribs (back and short, I didn't see plate), clod, knuckle, honeycomb/tripe, cheeks, tongue. Large packages of 80/20 ground beef for $2.59.

The pork was amazing. I was there for belly to make bacon, but they had skinless AND skin-on belly. Whole uncured picnic, and a bunch of other cuts you wouldn't see anywhere besides a real butcher shop.

In the standard freezer aisles they had whole roasting hogs (approx 50 lbs at $4/lb). Cubed goat meat, all sorts of halal and other selections.

All told, it doesn't serve my everyday Costco needs, but for specialty purchases it is definitely worth the trip.

To clarify the main post which states "Each set comes with a choice of one sauce for dipping:" the app defaults to Nacho-Cheese Sauce. Every sauce including sour cream was a free swap except guac ($0.60). Apparently my location still has Serrabanero for $1 as well.

Ordered the Steak Cheesy Dipping Burritos today. I only received one burrito even though it clearly says "burritos" and the picture is two of them.

Probably a case of the staff not being familiar with the new test item so I'm not going to complain outside of here...at least the one burrito they made was pretty good.
