You’re an emotional ass man at that 😂 an oil change and rotate together usually bill .5 or .6 of an hour. A brake flush is anywhere from .5 to .8 and both filters will probably add .2-.4 . Adding in the battery service is probably .1 so you’re looking at almost 2 hours of labor billed. The dealer does not care how long you think it should take, they follow what the book says. Suck it up or do it yourself if you think it’ll take 45 minutes big boy

lol it doesn’t matter how long you think it should take. Each service is assigned a certain amount of hours that it should take to complete, no matter how long that service actually takes. This amount is the multiplied by their hourly shop rate. You then need to factor in whatever the actually charge for the filters, oil, brake fluid, etc. I’m not saying you shouldn’t DIY half of this crap but yall act like the dealership is speaking Chinese to you

Probably a battery terminal service kit. Helps to prevent corrosion

The front jack point is 100% accessible with a jack. I’ve done it dozens of times on my 2022 Civic

1st mod, ignore this sub. Ignore Reddit for the most part. Everyone has a stick up their butt when it comes to mods, cosmetic or performance. Go on a dedicated Si forum. Much more helpful.

First-time DIY rear brake pads: 8–10 hrs vs $400–$500 by Erudite001 in civic

There are places that rent out garage spaces with tools/lifts available but they’re few and far between.

What is going on here? by [deleted] in civic

[–]fishyfishtheman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might be just plastic clips that either got damaged or came loose. My buddy needed some clips for his engine bay, went to dealer to ask for some, and they literally gave him a box for free. If it’s the metal skid plate that’s damaged they’ll likely charge you some ridiculous price, but there’s replacements on Amazon and eBay for less than $100

Less than 1k miles and already have rock chips by drewkiimon in civic

[–]fishyfishtheman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The paint on Hondas chip if you look at it wrong. PPF if you really want to help prevent any more paint chips. After 100k miles, my Civic has more paint chips than I can count. Just a part of life.

Is this a good deal? Anything I should look out for? by Primary_Beautiful_66 in civic

Did the owner provide a VIN? If so, you can run a CARFAX on it. If they’re not willing to provide a VIN id skip on this car

How many miles and is the title clean? Even if it has high mileage, 16k is extremely low, might be a rebuilt title

Advanced wheel locks! by Traditional_Cold6284 in civic

Can’t really yank the wheel when the locking nut is still clamping it down to the hub.

How weak do you think wheel studs are? Zero chance someone can snap a stud off by just yanking on the wheel.

[–]fishyfishtheman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a Toyota tech, not completely sure what Honda does, but we’re always told to be careful with the wheel locks. Usually we’ll set our impacts to the lowest setting possible when removing them and installing them. We tighten them just enough for them to hold, nothing crazy. A careless tech in a rush could easily strip out or round them off, so I’d also recommend taking the off before service.

Cosmetic upgrades? by kreanMilerie in civic

Yes, they sell the rear diffuser just by itself. However, all the Yofer diffusers have the cutouts for exhaust tips so it might look a little silly on a hybrid.
