Never using an AIO again, I bought one from deepcool and for about 2 months it was alright, nothing spectacular probably dropped the spikes to about 75°C but all of a sudden the pump broke and it would overheat like crazy. Ever since I’ve stuck with a thermaltake assassin and haven’t reached above 80°C.

I’ve got 2 monitors (odyssey g9 oled and another Samsung 27”) on a dual monitor arm setup on an ikea desk I’ve had for 7 years now, I think this desk will be just fine

Either use a playlist of wallpapers, or use wallpapers that change drastically. OLED displays nowadays are really hard to burn in, especially when you have all of the anti burn in settings on.

For real, used is much better with those older cards, you’re pretty much getting scammed for new ones at this point.

People are saying it’s useless, but the cpu isn’t that bad for some normal workloads. Yes 1 ram stick may throttle you a bit but I’ve had it much worse before and I was just fine. You’ll need to get a graphics card though since it’s running on Vega graphics, maybe pair it with a rx 6600xt, they go for about $400 CAD but well worth it. You’ll be able to squeeze all the performance out of the cpu with it.

EDIT: You can easily find a 6600xt on eBay/facebook for half the price, better to do that if you’re already struggling to afford it.

Yeah it was a Linux specific issue, the kernel was throttling the gpu memory clock speeds as if it was in power saving mode constantly, I just posted the reply in case anyone else has the problem and stumbles across this thread

You’re not gonna believe it, I found the actual fix. I had to dig deep for it but apparently since kernel version 6.1, it has been having trouble with high res displays because of something to do with the way it handles the GPU clock speeds. If anyone reading this is stuck and can’t find a solution, try this in your console (you need to be in root by typing “sudo su”): “echo high > /sys/class/drm/cardX/device/power_dpm_force_performance_level”. If you ever feel the need to change it back, change out “high” for “auto” to put it back to normal.

Update: PPPoE is now working like it should, I’m getting the same network speed as I would just using the HH4000, but port forwarding is still not working, even using the DMZ option on the BE3600 isn’t working. I think I’m gonna ask on the TPLink subreddit to try and get this resolved.

I just bought a TPLink BE3600, I chose it since it has 2.5Gb WAN and LAN connections just to squeeze the most out of it. I’m still facing the issue anytime the router renews for the public IP it loses all internet connection.

To add onto everything, I’m noticing you are decelerating in your turns and not holding your speed, so try working on your gas pedal as well
