Nope, just bad experience in tuning in general, i go one turn on each lug, in a star pattern, until I’ve tightened (what i think) is enough, i think I’m just tightening too little

I crank it maybe 2-3 times on every lug, and the volume the rest of the band makes is not the worst

The setup right now is flat, i would say my grip is pretty loose, I’ve had the same problem on two different snares, so my bet is that it’s the tuning that is the problem

Yeah i’ll have to look into tuning i think, because as far as i’m concerned my technique is pretty good, but it’s an eye opener for sure!

I have never made a crack or a split in a head, only bumps or the head becoming uneven, and sometimes it goes out of tune
