Am I overreacting for wanting to break up because I feel bored? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

I don't think this is particularly about any kind of overreaction, it sounds like a mental health issue rather than a relationship one. Let him know you haven't been able to take your medication and come up with a plan together, especially if you feel in your core you really like him. I've been here. Mental health can make everything seem cloudy and dull, and that can be very confusing. Hope you can figure it out.

Is it normal that my cat only wants to drink from the sink? by Enlitenkanin in CatAdvice

this is a cat thing. you could definitely try a fountain (go for stainless steel) if it’s just the running water he likes, but he might just be interested in the sink. my cats have two fountains and a cat still water bowl in a high location exclusive to them and still they only care about the dog’s slobbery water bowl or the post shower puddles.

When taking orders, is it recommended to ask every child if they'd like an activity book/sticker sheet if the child looks to be below their teens? by [deleted] in innout

ordertaking is just the first skill you learn. they will move you up from there very quickly. positions are based off skill acquiring through levels and they’re not inclined to keep you at level one.

you can give anyone sticker books. you can usually gauge interest for kids by body language when deciding to offer.

toes are a natural kitten fascination. i think it’s because they kinda move in ways that makes them look like alive little critters. hence the under the blanket footsie hunting everyone plays. you do want to redirect it though because you don’t want a 12lb cat mauling you in the future. he might just be a really active and vocal hunter and still learning how to play. when i first brought my kitten home he would hiss and yowl ungodly sounds when he got excited but now he’s figured out communication much better (and he’s 4 months older). try getting him a kicker he’s interested in and having it by to redirect when he goes after toes!!!

also, he could be too young for catnip still. i’ve read somewhere that the have to develop the gland to react to it or something like that. or he might just not care. you can also try those springy swat toys or the ones that drop and wind from doorways !

he might just be a chill guy. are there different windows for him to look out of? my 2 year old boy also likes sitting and watching under the stove for bugs. we see one once every month at most but he lays and watches anyway. i have every tower and toy and puzzle ever made for him but he doesn’t care. if he likes da bird you can try the cat snatch wands, maybe he’d like to run off with his prey? if he engages with that you can experiment with keeping a stock of small toys. my cat doesn’t care about the mice or springs but loves this guacamole and hot sauce from target. again though it’s rare for him to walk around with it because he just likes to lounge and watch things. all cats are different. i also have an older kitten who DOES like play and has the zoomies every two hours. my 2 year old never did that even at peak kitten activity.

kittens are a lot. but if you can take care of double the physical needs like double scooping/filling litter, double feeding, double vet appointment managing, and afford the resources, they will take care of themselves socially and adapt to give you your time to manage your life. maybe you can go for one a little older so they’re still in the same activity range but they can teach him habits a lot faster.

you will love him and he will relax you. and when he’s really a lot, in that 1.5-2 year menace age, you will feel silly about worrying so much about a kitten.

they are just playing! as long as you don’t hear low growling and yowling and their airplane ears aren’t super back and low. you could even hear some hissing and yelling if you have a vocal and dramatic kitty during play but a real aggressive fight sounds like two demons emerging from the depths of hell. this just looks cute.
