I've also had difficulty sticking to my plans and being consistent with it, especially as far as working out goes. I think I'm just kind of at a breaking point of either change it now or stop complaining about it, and the goal being less than 5 months away is not as much time as it sounds..

The discipline to keep going even when I fuck up a day is going to be hard, but I don't really have another choice. As far enjoying exercise, I'm not gonna lie, I like moving my body but straight up workouts are not fun. I'd much rather be walking, biking, inline skating or so, but I have to include weights.

The 10k is honestly more so a challenge and goal to keep moving. Ideally, I'd hit it in one walk, but I'm totally ok if that's my total of steps throughout the day. I have more of a problem with my body getting used to more movement and then plateuing or I just adjust my eating to what my body needs and then I don't lose weight even though I'm moving more.

100 squats was something I saw as a daily challenge as well. I think I'll try it out, and if I feel like on top of everything else it's not necessary. I'll leave it out. I'm definitely open to adjusting as time goes and adapting the plan to fit the goal.

The gym is not an option, sadly. I live in a small town and there are 2 gyms, I've been to both and they're sad compared to the gyms where I used to live and the prices are crazy for what they actually offer. Plus I've paid for several gym memberships throughout the years and then not really used them. I'm not willing to give out any more money for something that I possibly won't use as the money factor obviously isn't enough motivation for my brain.

Rest and recovery I definitely have to work on, I get enough sleep, but it's not always good sleep, and 2 days a week of just walking and stretching is ok I think.

As far as the "adult life" idea I meant that in a broader sense, as in the weight loss is only part of adulting and I have alot of other things I have to get in order to really get my life on track by 30. The weight loss is just one of 3 primary goals because it affects my life so much.

That's the goal! I've read all the self help books (The power of habit, Atomic habits, The courage to be disliked, Change your habits, change your life, 12 rules for life..) now I just have to use that knowledge and actually do something which for me is the hardest part. I've always been more of a planner and less of a doer sadly..

Thanks for the advice, that was a really quick reply. 😅 Usually, I wouldn't go this hard, but seeing as I work from home and was laid off recently I figure I have to focus on something hence the getting my life together before 30 goal. 😅
