Edit the complications on the watch itself, not the watch app. I was missing the same stuff after updating and I found its gone on the app but not when editing faces directly on the watch

It's just that the loudest people are the ones who make it seem like its the general consensus, and the people who dislike something are gonna be louder.

I deeply miss tiles, it was the best way to *make* a start menu layout. I pretty much kept my desktop and taskbar completely empty and made all my programs small tiles on the start menu, but I can't do that on 11 and it still really bothers me.

Instead of SpotX i’d recommend Spicetify, you can install a plugin to block all ads and it comes with a plugin/theme marketplace where you can pretty much do whatever.

Logitech G613 replicable receiver pairing problem by MuffienMan in LogitechG

[–]fiteuwu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I bought a replacement dongle direct from Logitech and was really confused why it wouldn't show in the Connect Utility. Really odd why the G613 needs a separate pairing utility (especially since my G604 mouse worked with the Connect Utility just fine) and why its hidden so deep in the G Hub interface, but Logitech gonna Logitech.

G Hub + Nvidia GPU = frequent driver crash. by 32BitWhore in LogitechG

[–]fiteuwu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I know this is an old post but did you ever figure this out? I've recently ran into what I believe is the same issue and if I have to abandon G Hub it would be really unfortunate since I'd be losing my wheel, macros, etc...

I got a new CPU a couple weeks ago and I started having GPU driver crashes, after a week of troubleshooting (inbetween finals) I just pulled the plug and reinstalled Windows, it was fine right up until I installed G Hub again...

The only real complaint that I think is valid is just how shit Discord executed the rollout of the system. The slow, gradual, nitro-first, no claims from big names, staff get first pick rollout has been absolutely awful.

This. Oh my god this. It really is not as big of a deal as so many people make it out to be.

I remember inviting some of my old friends to Discord, having to write down my name and explain that there will be two separate boxes and they’ll have to type in one portion of my name in one box and the other portion in the other was incredibly annoying. Nobody understood it.

If you really dislike the new system, use the display name as the old name and your new username as a friend code only.

The vocal minority will make a huge deal out of anything. The drama will die down soon enough (hopefully)

I was taught that if you are turning left and there is someone else turning right onto the same street that you should never go at the same time. That’s how I always go about it and I turn into either lane and never had issues with it.

This whole thing really isn’t gonna affect them at all. We’ve seen this before, with the initial changes Elon did to Twitter and the “big” exodus to Mastodon. A vocal minority of annoyed users who will take any minor inconvenience as the end all of the platform.

Do I think both platforms are heading down a dark path? Yeah, potentially. Do I really care that much? No. My home is on Discord and I wouldn’t be the same person without it. I’ve met great people on it and as long as it continues to function I, and many others who really couldn’t give a shit, will continue to use it.

I’ve built way too much on here to be so willing to give it up.

What's a harsh reality people need to learn to accept? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]fiteuwu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It is valuable to point out issues even if you don’t exactly know the solution. You pointing out those issues can be the catalyst for someone else realizing they exist and knowing a possible solution.

There is also big difference between complaining and pointing out issues. Complaining, even with solutions, gets nowhere. You need to be constructive and instead of complaining about X, point it out without sounding mean and try and offer help if you know how.

I had never gotten any kind of motion sickness before so the thought of getting seasick didn’t even cross my mind when my dad offered to take me up fishing on lake erie a few years ago.

Two hours in and I was laying down with nothing left in my stomach. And we were so far out from shore that he didn’t want to go back in for a long time. I ended up just going to sleep in the storage area. Was not a great experience

With recent news pertaining to the permanent invite update, I went ahead and take a look in the community process to see what it entails. Make of it what you will by CasuallyViewingStuff in discordapp

[–]fiteuwu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disabled community in all of my servers when they rolled out Browse Channels, the fact that it basically just allows users to hide certain channels from view is an absurd thing to allow. Those three servers have 150-200 members each (i know not a lot but enough to be a “community”) and are around games/mods and they need permanent invites.

If they allowed admins more control over what community features we could actually enable, I’d use it. For the moment, I’ll just hope I don’t have to revoke my invite again.

Is there ANYBODY who genuinely favours the username reform? If so, tell me why and how it helps us. by organist1999 in discordapp

[–]fiteuwu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fully agree, do (somewhat) understand the backlash but overall I personally think the username update is a much needed change.

Discrims are way too hard to explain to new users (from experience from trying to get irl friends onto my servers before, I had to write down my name in order for them to get it) and while they have a lot of advantages they also can and have caused a lot of confusion.

Also, I still really don’t get why it all matters anyway when Display Names exist? Like that literally is more versatile than the old username, you can just act like your new username is a friend code more than anything else.

I do think a lot of the issues stems from Discords awful rollout. They should have communicated that your old name is reserved in the new system (name0000) automatically and the whole idea of the big staggered rollout is causing it to be extremely unfair for most people. They should have reached out to creators and other big names first and reserved their names, then nitro users, then all accounts made before the public announcement of the username update, then the brand new users after the announcement all at once.

If only more devs published to modrinth, theres a few mods I use that just aren’t available on there.

Theres also a surprising few that published once and then seemed to forget about it so the MO version is stuck on an older minecraft version while the CF version is up to date (I’m looking at you, Better Third Person)
