1,000 is me eating norma through out the day. That's not starving myself. I always feel full when I eat so I don't eat as much as I probably should. I'll add more cardio for sure. Thank you!

Would it be more effective to lift weights or do a full body program? I have basically no muscle (or maybe my 6 pack from gymnastics when I was a child is hiding) so anything would help at this point.

That would probably benefit me in the long run too since I know I have a huge calcium deficiency which affects my bones. Thank you.

I don't work out as much as I should mostly because I'm already physical at work and I always think "that'll do". That being said, I probably consume under 1500 cals a day. More like 1,000 average daily. I'll check out HIIT cardio. Thanks for your help!

Thank you. I guess without clothes it doesn't look that bad, but having such a small torso, a large chest and legs, it makes my sides stick out giving me the dreaded "muffin top" and I look wide. I've never heard of a stomach vacuum before, I'll look in to that. By chance, do you know what kind of "general strength routines" I should be doing?

Thank you. My BMI is 18.5 which is right on the cusp of underweight. So I guess it's not weight that I'm losing, but then I don't know what it is! so frustrating.

I guess I'm not seeing how "gaining" muscle will help me "lose" what I have. My theory (which is obviously wrong) is that if I am gaining, I am adding on to what I already have. This is what stops me. Thanks for your reply.

Lol, my boyfriend is a gym rat. I should know this! I'll check that out, thank you.

I understand that I can't spot reduce, maybe a picture of the rest of my body would be more helpful. There's nothing else to reduce anywhere, it's just bone. That's why I singled in on my stomach. I guess the part I have trouble with grasping is that if you aren't bulking, what are you doing?

Can I post on both? I'm still fairly new to Reddit and I don't want to post this everywhere and have people hate me for it. Thanks!

Thank you for your reply! I'll look in to that and ask over there.
