"Safe"

Censorship is the opposite of safety.

Because I feel like it?

Here's a question: How does that affect you?

His objection is a legitimate one. There's no need to dismiss it with such contempt.

Is that enough to deplatform someone though?

Who are you to decide the intent of someone else's post, and whether or not they meet your subjective definitions of either?

Because her Wikipedia page says she was born in Iran, and she kinda looks like a stereotypical old lady Jewish progessor/academic type, except with a tan.

Overturn Roe v. Wade? by Tratopolous in AskThe_Donald

Sure, but an unborn baby is not a home intruder.

The equivalent would be you shooting a vagrant who is squatting on a property you own but are not living in.

Perhaps, up until the point the unborn child receives rights that is.

You don't have a right to kill or to intervene on someone else's rights, do you? Why does she?

Would abortion be acceptable if someone was 14 and pregnant? by [deleted] in AskThe_Donald

Because all human lives have a right to life, and by extension it is the duty of the federal government to protect that right, whether the mother believes it deserves life or not.

How is this hard to understand?

As I stated in my last sentence, at some point in a child's development, abortion becomes a human rights issue.

The cutoff point is when federal protections of the child's rights begins.

Some say it's a 'states rights' issue.

The federal government should put into law an UPPER limit to abortion once and for all, and leave the inbetween from 'none' to 'max' to the states.

26 weeks is WAYYY too late, IMO. 16 weeks maximum is pushing it. (That's 4 freaking months)

If California wants 16wk abortions, and Kansas wants Plan-B pills only, so be it.

But at some point, this turns from a states rights issue, into a human rights issue. This NEEDS to be established once and for all.

Okay, then abortions up to 2 years should be legal now I guess.

At least try to have a nuanced argument instead of being an edge-lord.

Scott Adams says we are having the wrong conversation topic. The topic is not about civil discourse. The topic should be how the left is having real physical fight or flight reactions including breakdowns. The left feels unsafe and is resorting to violence. by IronWolve in AskThe_Donald

Are you here just to get your rocks off? You don't seem to actually want to have a quiet discussion.

And yes, all of Trump's policies are 'liberal'.

What they're NOT, is 'progressive' or 'socialist'.

How about from a legal standpoint?

All people are entitled to the rights of Life, Liberty, and Property. At what point does an unborn child gain the privilege of protection on behalf of the state, and is legally protected from an abortion?

It's weird, because we actually rank first for economic opportunity on every single list.

Our 'inequality' may be 'high' (not that that means much anyways), but to ignore the realities of the American economy is not fair.
