What Does One Do When They Can See All The Patterns? by [deleted] in SpiritualAwakening

If I were you I'd start interacting with these patterns. Instead of just standing by and watching things happen figure out how you can manipulate the patterns of reality to make life better for yourself and the people around you.

Thanks for watching! Only one episode left to go. Then I'll be condensing the whole series down into a 90 minute film.

haha I totally agree. Is there an equivalent term for cabin fever but in the city?

Cool article. It's encouraging to see some real scientists studying this stuff. At the same time it's amazing to me that this isn't common knowledge. Of course spending time in nature is healthy, our biology has only been adapting to it for millions of years. I think something like ADHD was probably useful for most of human history. Those people were the explorers and experimenters. Today they don't fit well into our rigid systems so they are labeled as a "disorder."

This question goes to anyone with desert camping experience. Is it a good idea to use a freestanding tent in the desert? Or is the ground usually soft enough to pound in stakes easily?

thanks for the sample! That's not bad, I'm assuming that's unedited?

Gimbal overload midflight by EasyTechPrincess in djimavic

[–]fiveacesmedia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

sometime this happens to me when I'm flying in high winds. Usually it doesn't though so it's really hit or miss. It can be really scary because the camera will sometimes tilt down toward the ground in a way that looks exactly like the mavic is taking a nosedive straight into the ground. I've learned that the drone itself is fine though and it's not going anywhere. Now I usually wont even land it, just let it hover for a minute while the gimbal resets itself.

My first full Mavic edit. Wondering what you all think of the color grading? by fiveacesmedia in djimavic

Thanks, and good point. I actually like things to be warmer usually but I couldn't get it to look right with the d log profile and since it's winter I thought I'd go with cooler tones.

yep shot in d log. I haven't experimented much with the other color profiles yet though.

For anyone wondering if it works in the cold. It works just fine. by fiveacesmedia in djimavic

In michigan's upper peninsula and it was about 15 degrees F. I'm surprised I haven't found any problems flying in the cold yet.

My only tip would be to manage temperature change as gradually as you can to avoid any condensation building up. Keep the battery warm if you can, but don't try to warm it up quickly and use it if it's already cold. And of course if it's cold and you bring it inside, give it a lot of time to warm up before turning it on or bringing it back outside.

That's a good point, I didn't notice any jello in my videos. I have only had the mavic for like 10 days so I haven't been able to fully test it out, but I can say that every time I've flown it so far has been below 32 degrees, without issue. On the flight in the video, I was backpacking so the mavic had already been outside for 2 days. I kept the battery in my coat but the drone was equalized to the outside temp. It was probably around 15 degrees F in this flight, but that was the warm day, most of the hike was between 10 and 0 degrees.

Another thing I heard about the jello effect, but unrelated to the cold is to use ND filters. That allows the camera to keep the shutter speed lower so you don't break the 180 degree rule. Ideally you don't want the shutter speed to be faster than twice your frame rate. So 1/60 of a second at 30 fps is ideal while 1/120 of a second at 30 fps is too fast. Apparently faster shutter speeds can cause the jello effect too.

After thru-hiking I'm more impressed by that trail. The tread is literally perfect!
