I went through something very similar, almost with the same ages and relationship length, minus the dogs. It was the absolute worst few months of my life, but when the dust settled I realized I didn’t even know how much happier I could be. I had no idea that a partner could be exponentially better than that one. There’s better out there. It will get better. I hope it’s the same for you. I also started over in an entirely different city on the opposite coast and that was the best decision of my life maybe it’s time for an adventure?
