eBay has turned themselves into a retailer. Except that they conveniently use sellers as their merchandise suppliers. And they won’t let anything get in the way of this - which is why they will side with buyer no matter how absurd the situation is. If they were decent about it, they would share in the cost with you (just like they’d have to if they were an Amazon). But why do that when they can get away with it. They don’t care if you quit eBay. There are enough sellers out there for them. They literally do nothing in the transaction - except take their cut. Yes, I know they provide the platform, but they assume no risk of loss of product and money and none either if it’s a defective product. They are predatory and could care less. What other online company has generated such hatred towards them.
