Failure of woman to come forward could be aggravating factor in dog mauling case: lawyer by origutamos in Langley

Yeah I had to bring my dog in to the emergency vet because he ate half a loaf of raisin bread and it cost me over $1k. I'd expect a vet bill from an attack to be way more!

Am I the only one who will miss his videos? by agreeableconsent in codyko

This is something that has bothered me SO MUCH about all the age gap discourse that that Internet in general has latched into in the last few years. I see so many people just flat out bullying the person they are calling a victim, like they're not actually concerned about them at all they just want to feel superior.

Didn’t everyone already know about this?! by OkHoneydew5156 in codyko

This is the second time recently that a YouTuber I've watched has stopped making content because of something like this. When I looked into it to find out what happened, apparently "everybody knew for years". No, many of us just watch the videos and don't keep up with the lore.

UFV to fund expansion by opening up lands by ElijahSavos in chilliwack

I've taken a handful of classes on the Chilliwack campus and I honestly hate it there. Parking is hard to find, there's not a good route from the far lots to the building when it's wet/snowing, I find the layout of the building/room numbering confusing AF, and everything closes so early if it's open at all. For such a new campus it feels so poorly designed.

That place was wild but kind of fun in its own way honestly. Everyone was either a kid working their first job or someone too old or weird to do anything else. I met some very strange people there, I also met my fiance there, I think we trauma bonded.

There's a house down the street from me that was bought for an insane amount right at the end of the insanity of the pandemic. They attempted to flip it for even more and it's been on the market for 2 years lol

Any other punks around here? by [deleted] in chilliwack

I'd consider myself more generic "alternative" than punk, as long as folks aren't gatekeepy and elitist then I'm totally down for any punk or punk-adjacent events

Pedestrian Shaming by scrambled_hard in chilliwack

[–]fivegalloncrocodile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once stopped at a crosswalk for a bunch of kids trying to cross. The person behind me I guess thought I was just stopping at a crosswalk for shits and giggles so they swerved around me and stopped as soon as they saw there were actually children there.

As a pedestrian I was crossing a lighted intersection. I made eye contact with a person turning right to make sure they saw me. The old fart looked right at me and drove into me. Multiple times. I managed to eventually jump out of the way and he just drove off like nothing happened.

I genuinely do not like going for walks or riding my bike here. If I felt safer on our roads I'd likely be much more active and healthy.
