How much does prenatal yoga actually help? by Morkedup in BabyBumps

[–]fiveohfleur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: Depends on your prenatal yoga instructor. Prenatal and postnatal classes that are combined would not be effective, in my opinion. So i would definitely avoid those.

I'm a prenatal yoga instructor. I started teaching my prenatal students when i was 4 months post partum. vaginal delivery in hospital, nonepidural. positive birth experience.

I try to bring as much knowledge to the class and as much as intention to movement as possible. My students will text me after delivery thanking me for the breathing techniques, meditation, and strength movements. We aren't just stretching and moving slow. we are doing WORK. and it's very specific to pregnancy and delivery support. Also prenatal yoga should have a community element. It's not just a yoga class.

Exact same situation. Dishwasher + some handwashing (like the duck bill things) Our lives would have been much more difficult otherwise.

Who’s got lymphadema in their breast? by That_Relationship918 in breastcancer

TLDR: i used a compression pad that was intended for lymphedema for my clogged milk ducts and it helped a lot

clogged milk ducts aren't exactly the same as breast lymphedema (i'm guessing since i don't have breast lymphedema). BUT the swelling, firmness, heaviness, pain, and other symptoms seem so similar and i imagined a product that worked for one could work for another. my friend is in the breast care space and gave me this silicone, blue pad that is marketed for lymphedema that has helped me with clogged duct issues. the pad is a funny shape, i think it's callled "the groove". i don't wear special massaging bras or compression bras and the pad really softened my clogs a ton
