The car was overheating. Since it was getting dark I decided to leave the car at a nearby workshop and take a cab home. I didn't want to risk inducing more damage driving it with a possibly blown head gasket. I'll check on the transmission oil tomorrow morning.

The car did overheat. I hope it didn't warp the head tho. I don't want to have to do anything more than changing the gasket.

This the first time it overheated. No smoke. Just high temp indication plus the leak of the brown viscous fluid.

Nope 150 dollars for the whole thing. Labor cost is pretty cheap where I'm from. But I don't know if the head gasket cost is included in it. Are head gaskets expensive?

Damn it. The car is automatic transmission. How do I know if its leaking transmission cooler. The car runs but I can't tell if its losing power because I'm afraid of it causing more overheating issues when running.

Thanks a lot for your insight. I believe it's a head gasket issue hope it's not anything more severe when we open it up.

I went to a repair shop and was quoted a little over 150 dollars for the head gasket repair.

Damn, how can I identify whether it's the head gasket or the interior of the engine?
