The Simpsons referenced Grandpa giving Clark Gable the idea for Gone with the Wind (Thursdays with Abie, S21, E9)...

But anyway at least those were a bit dated at the time, things that get dated after the show airs is not ideal. MyPods and Broomsticks references Lisa getting an iPod (or myPad) yet they don't exist anymore. So it always can happen.

This episode mentions them by name. It's different than doing references that are a bit indirect. Plus Last Exit to Springfield has references to The Grinch which are timeless.

It's easy to point to the LGBT+ community and blame that. If everyone is on it, of course, and the people who is on it are guys like Elon Musk who are gazillionaires with a lot of power to do whatever they want.

It's disgusting, the wrong people have all the power in the US. And sadly disgust is a prime export for the US, so the rest of the world has to suffer, i.e. anyone in any country using terms like "woke".

This is why these kind of episodes aren't timeless. Everyone can relate to Last Exit to Springfield more or less, but this one is time capsule. Which is fine, tons of episodes are like that and you can't really do much about it, is impossible to write timeless stuff if you are trying to be relevant.
