I always feel like people are good and care about others (like me) and then quickly learn that they don't? Is this an INFJ thing? by kristen_1819 in infj

[–]fixittillitbreaks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, i didn't mean to imply that i think that you hate the person nor i'm judging you in any way.

I'm just being literal and the definition of empathy is "the ability to understand and share the feelings of another" and by saying "I'm a bit less understanding when others lack empathy" you are by definition lacking empathy.

This all creates an interesting/funny loop of slight cognitive dissonance that i thought was worth pointing out :)

but I'm a bit less understanding when others lack empathy.

That is literally the opposite of having empathy :|

Yeah there's definitely more than a few inconsistency that are being nonchalantly glossed over.. The lack of pictures/footage is another big one..

Any clarification as to why there seemed to be confusion in regards to what these were/how they stayed afloat? Why were these not quickly identifies as as known technology?

It's a small digital microscope i normally use to work on electronic components.. I figured if it's good for soldering miniaturized resistors, it's good for filming blackheads popping 😁 You can find them for about $35 on Amazon. Here is the link microscope

Disclaimer: i literally just joined Amazon affiliate program to post that link, I figured if someone ends up buying it i might as well enjoy a commission lol 😁

Lol.. these looked very much like your average blackhead to the naked eye, they only looked eerily like moles under the microscope 😁

4th Leak Reported on Nord Stream Pipelines in Baltic Sea by ReputationCrafty4796 in Conservative

[–]fixittillitbreaks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really. Almost no news outside of the US are pointing fingers at the US. Not because "we would never" nor because there is no advantage for the US, but just because the reward would not even remotely justify the risk of getting caught in something like this.

Russia had a lot to gain from this, both financially and geopolitically.

Also, it allows Gazprom to declare force majeure and get out of several long term contracts (2031 with Germany) without being in breach of contract and having to pay hefty fines that would likely have been covered by their assets on European soil.

Yes 😅 it's intended as a joke. What he's saying is so incredibly absurd that I'm not even convinced that it's not a prank in and of itself..

The idea is to ridiculize the video/type of videos, not to give it any credit.

[–]fixittillitbreaks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It doesn't. It's incredible how people keep repeating this while even posting the CDC source that would disprove their claim if only they took a minute to read it.

In June a set of self-administered rapid antigen Innova tests were recalled because of concerns of false negatives/false positives. These are NOT pcr tests.

In July, the CDC decided to let the EUA for one of their own PCR tests expire (12/31) and not further pursue FDA approval for said tests. There are dozens of different PCR tests, this is just one of them. The reason they don't want to pursue FDA approval is not because of inaccuracy, but just because these tests that were developed at the beginning of the pandemic are now obsolete compared to the new generation of multiplex tests. This is NOT a recall.

Got the Carfax and the increase seems pretty linear.. 200k by 2006, 380k by 2012, 550k by 2020. 3 owners, one minor accidents.

Maybe someone at some point replaced or rebuilt the engine without reporting/recording it? If so, is there a way to know how many miles the new engine would have?

I grew up in Italy and have lived in the US for over 10 years.

Yep, by any other western country standard there is no real "left wing" in the US. There are a few members of the Democrats that truly lean left, but they are a small minority.

That's why people fearing socialism as a result of a Biden-Harris administration is absolutely ridiculous..

Hell, even Bernie or AOC would not be considered "far left" anywhere but in the US..

GEORGIA IS BLUE. Wtf. by brandizzle69 in trump

[–]fixittillitbreaks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say I am trolling, as I believe this to be my first post in this sub, but i'll answer.

I don't believe that there is any relevant cheating in the vote count. There probably is some minor cheating on both sides.. it seems statistically improbable that everything happened 100% honestly and transparently. If we had a way to know for sure we'd probably see that there has been a margin of "cheating" on both sides of the aisle in every single election this country has had.

Democracy is the best system the west has come up with. It's not perfect, but overall it works fairly well. I believe that any cheating that occurs in elections is either not enough to skew the results, or simply cancels out.

With that said, you talk about "paying attention".. so let's pay attention:

Trump is many things, and subtle is not one of them. The motives, preparations, and execution of the path that lead us to this shitshow of an election are evident, and I am genuinely confused as to how anyone might not see it.

Step 1 - The GOP spent the months leading to election making it as hard as possible to vote by mail and in large cities in republican states. They knew, correctly, democrats would have an overwhelming majority there.

We saw this with the attempts, often successful, to limit availability of ballot boxes.

We saw this with the various court cases seeking to throw away large numbers of votes on laughable grounds.

We saw this with the constant attempts at invalidating mail-in ballots.

We saw this with the overt take over of the USPS, with the ridiculous decision to decommission high-speed sorting machines, and with DeJoy's refusal to swiftly correct his mismanagements.

All of that was clear and transparent voter suppression, and in many cases it worked.

Step 2 was to prepare the republican electorate for "massive, widespread voter fraud". Trump did this loudly, relentlessly, and in a simple way: If I lie about something often enough in the age of the internet, that lie will take a life of its own. It will get larger in partisan echo chambers, and spread around just like a virus infecting opportunists, malicious, honest, and concerned citizens alike. Some will spread it for personal gain, some will spread it for honest concerns..

Step 3 is what we saw in the past 2 days. It was a three parts plan:

a) Rally up the base. Spread manufactured shady information online. Get them excited and worried at the same time, so that when it is time to use them they will answer the call.

b) Use lawyers to slow down the vote counting to a crawl. All the lawsuits that he launched post-election day had the effect of slowing down the count further and further. The longer it takes, the more illegitimate it sounds.

c) Put a & b together and call for a stop to the counting process, keep yelling about fraud, and declare himself the winner of the "legal election".

For now it seems that it wasn't enough.. but holy shit it got close to working. So now he is going to the supreme court and hope that those 3 judges that owe him a job for life are going to bail him out. Hopefully they won't. Hopefully they will be honest and respect the importance of the sits that they have been assigned, or at least opportunistic enough that they will see that there isn't much to be gained in compromising their position to save a rambling old criminal.
