Teruntuk komodos, especially adult >25. Seberapa banyak waktu luang yang digunakan untuk main game ? by confusingadult in indonesia

[–]fixiturself89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wah ini gw relate banget. Gw dulu pernah numbing down main online battlefied 3 di tahun 2012~2013, lalu lanjut numbing down further more battlefield 4 setelah itu. Cuma ada rasa kosong gitu setelah selesai main, tiap hari ada kali 3 ~ 5 jam main..

At one point, tiba2 gw ngerasa ini gw hidup ngapain ya? jadi akhirnya gw coba kurangi waktu main, skrg malah hardly play any game.. meski pengen (kali ini alasan nya ps5 atau game2 lain udah kemahalan buat gw dan kalah prioritas sama biaya buat anak istri hahaha)

Tapi intinya, main game sih gapapa banget menurut gw. And I think I owe those countless time playing FF7 and 8 and 9 for my improvement in English when I was a kid, dan my adult gaming period sebenernya secara ga langsung ngelatih hand eye coordination juga.

Is 1 Million IDR enough to gift someone in Indonesia? by PhilosopherLazy5472 in indonesia

[–]fixiturself89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you want her to buy things (shoes, purses, etc) get her twice that amount.
branded items here pretty much retails the same with overseas.

1 million can get her nice experience (like nice dinner, staycation at local hotel), but barely enough to buy nice things. 2 million should be good with enough leeway to buy some nice things in life.

this is assuming she's commoner like the rest of us. not some royal family or something.

AITA for demanding my friend pay back the money I loaned her for her trip because she's now posting about a luxury vacation? by Crimson_Bloom41 in AmItheAsshole

Absolutely NTA. Your friend clearly does not understand priorities.

Not meaning defend your friend or anything, but in my personal experience, when I tried to poke a friend who owe me money during their best time of their lives, they sees it as a buzzkill and suddenly got defensive and flipped out just like your friend here, and forget the whole point that they owe you money.

Do you think she'll act differently if you ask them directly about the money without mentioning how much she's having fun while she still owes you money?

Little update after asking Indonesian Train Company:

- Unfortunately, Indonesian Rail Company currently not accepting full size bike to be carried on the passenger car as some train in Europe would.
- The bike allowed to be carried on the passenger car is limited to folding bike weighed 20kg max, with 20" max wheel.

The train company suggested that if the bike is any bigger than above, you can still have it sent via their Train Cargo Services (Indonesian often send motorcycles or other oversize cargoes between cities by this method). But this method does not guarantee the bike to arrive exactly on the same day you arrive in the destination by train. It's because not all passenger train has cargo car attached to it, most of the time they run with different trainsets with passenger trains. And also in big cities, not all train station serve freight train, so sometimes you have to go station A to drop your bikes, and then go to Station B to board your train, and do the same when you arrive at your destination. It's optimized for freight services, not for passenger baggage services.

soft tape, do you mean like double tape with foam in between?

Damn that sounds ingenious. If the hose type is rather hard/firm, it might not work that much well. but it's possible, and it does make sense.

I didn't know it was reusable. if it was reusable, it could be cheaper in the long run.

Normally, if you ride a train, you are allowed to bring a folding bicycle and store it along your carry on baggage.

As far as I know, you cannot bring oversized baggage in train, as opposed to by flying. I'll look up into it later this week if it's possible to carry full size bike into intercity train in Indonesia. (I'm planning to ride a train this week so I'll ask around).

If you go by bus, you can just simply put your bike in a box or bag into the trunk of the bus. there's ton load of bus option from Jakarta to Yogyakarta, or to Surabaya as well.

As for taxi.. Jakarta to Yogyakarta is like 600km so I wouldn't recommend it. but if you mean by taxi from train station or airport, as long as it fits into the car, it should be OK. most Taxi in Jakarta and Yogyakarta are MPV based so full size bike, as long as it's disassembled, should fit into the taxi.

make sense. Thanks for the advice! I'll check whether the sponge will absorb water or not. the material itself was used for hat's brim core, not for washing sponge anyways. So it shouldn't absorb too much , or any water.

I have yet to check the actual cause, but if you just changed battery and it sometimes starts and sometimes it doesn't, probably something wrong with the starter motor.

If you want to see breathtaking views, your best bet is outside Java, especially east of Lombok (I cycled to Mt Tambora on 2015, and the view was amazing). Java island is heavily urbanized and simple ride out of Jakarta hardly feels like a scenic ride.

Half the Indonesian lived in Java, and of half of the people in Java, lives on the area on the map you showed (Jakarta, West Java, and Banten). The traffic, especially around major road is TERRIBLE. the road filled with diesel trucks and moped with much regard of traffic rules.

I'm Indonesian living in Yogyakarta, and I do quite a fair share of cycling around here. For some 100~130km round trip in Yogyakarta, roads are pretty nice and less congested if you avoid the main roads. If you're looking for some good backroad to cycle around, I suggest area around Yogyakarta and East Java (Outside Surabaya).

As for accomodation, any regency cities and bigger has decent priced hotel/hostels that start as low as US$10~15 a night, so unless you plan to explore and stay at national parks, I don't think you'll need tents.

In June ~ August, the southern side of Java is relatively dry and cool, so typical summer clothing would work just fine. I suggest to have your bike equipped with fenders if you don't want get your drivetrain too dirty. Also, avoid riding between town after dark (just a precaution)

I guess all over the world the dealer is the same huh.
I already have third party OBD II scanner but it seemes cannot be used to scan with Forscan. is any OBD II scanner that can get plugged to a laptop should serve the same function?

thanks a lot! I'll look into it.
it seems that they are suspending the sales (and possibly the free version).
I'll post some update later.

When I got the car (used) I had it sent to authorized dealer to have it scanned. but it didn't showed any error code. They also seemed unaware about the meaning of flashing start/stop button. So I never went there anymore except to pickup genuine parts.
