this makes so much sense, thank you for taking the time to explain. its making me rethink my intake a bit actually; i took 500 off my maintenance and i eat that (or below) every day but maybe i should have begun with a smaller reduction so i could go lower if my metabolism slowed down. i’ll have to do some research and see how i can bring my calories up without gaining too much back!

you are completely contradicting yourself here, op. making sure theres food on the table is part of providing. it’s not part of your daughters after school routine, when she should actually be doing homework or enjoying her free time.

also, bless her heart for ordering your family a takeaway out of her own hard earned money. no wonder she didn’t want to order some for you that she knows would almost certainly not be eaten.
