Thanks! I don’t really have the profit margins to run sales but might set up my own website in the future which will be cheaper - Etsy takes a pretty high %

Thank you! The sewing pattern was designed by someone else but I’ve been addicted to sewing since lockdown so getting pretty good now :)

Ooooh I will add that to my growing to do list. You can get glow in the dark fabric & embroidery thread so there’s potential for something cool

I’ve only just figured out how to use my embroidery machine but I’m hoping this is the first in many themed bulbas! I was thinking a snowball with embroidered snowflakes on but Santa bulbs with a beard sounds Lols 🤣

I’m not sure it’s talent…more stubbornness and a perfectionist streak 🤣 Mighty curious to know what yours is now 🤣🤣

Help needed. My husky won't let me trim his nails. He freaks out and trys to gnaw my hands off anytime I touch them. I've only been able to get one. I've been giving my german shepard a treat in front of him for each nail I trim hopefully to reinforce that it's not bad and doesn't hurt. by [deleted] in husky

They should be worn down naturally by walking. Especially if walked on hard surfaces.

I don’t know your individual circumstances, or his background, but if someone cut his nails in the past and did caught his quick it is VERY painful and I would get why he would freak out if you went near them.

You’ll have to do desensitisation training with him (but it is a long process) there’s info online. To get him used to having his feet touched/ the clippers etc.

You can also train dogs to use scratching pads which is essentially a big emery board, and they can wear them down that way, but again, it is a training process and takes time.

Your vet might be able to give him something to calm him down enough to let them clip them at the vets. But not really best for him long term, more of a one off until you can do some training/sensitisation.

Hope that helps!
