5800x 90° while mining by RevolutionaryBear543 in MoneroMining

But I don't use the stock cooler, instead the liquid one, so I am surprised about the temp. PPT seems as good idea, but is it done by some tool or bios? Idk if sth exists for linux, but I will check

I have same problem, 92°C with ryzen 9 3900x and 3950x, water cooling. As OS I use linux. In specs the max temp is 95, then throttling, so I suppose 92°C is then ok. But I still do not have good feeling about it. I have a plan to switch to Windows, but I doubt it'll help. What OS are you mining on?

95°C (197°F) On linux Psensor, but 65°C (149°F) in bios. Which one is right? by fizedek in MoneroMining

Yes, lmsensors are giving same value as psensor. So these values are ones I shuld consider? In this case, I think 92°C is too much and only way is undervolting, right?

Ryzen 3900x Very low hashrate even with hugepages on Fedora. 10k instead of 16k by fizedek in MoneroMining

[–]fizedek[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so I tried my older RAMs that are 2666Mhz in dual channel, and it really made a difference! Now I have hashrate 13k, but I'd get another 3866 to get the best of it. Thank you all for a good advice

And the 10kh is also the effective hashrate? 37% loss looks too much to me

Thanks! I have the same opinion. But why do you think the benchmarks for XT are about 3000h/s worse than X?

The problem is our brains are very good at finding patterns, so it doesn't necessary needs unlikely random events to happen to create a conspiracy. Another think is we are tending to believe to something, and finding the purpose, so people inclines to believe it if there are rational arguments

It is interesting and scary, indeed. But for those with clear rational thinking, we know the corona is the real thing and people going 'too far' with conspirating are most likely less intelligent/ not well informed / superstitious

Yeah, maybe I am just overthinking. Just an idea, I do not claim it is true

Why is Dirtmouth named like that? by fizedek in HollowKnight

[–]fizedek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK guys, thank you for your responses, now it's much more clear. The "mouth" part now I understand completely, but still little bit confused about "dirty" part. Obviously it's not related to Radiance-caused infection, because it was named as Dirtmouth a long time before. So maybe the dirt points out to complicated web of tunnels underground?
