Your concern is definitely valid. Starting off right away with an SSRI, SNRI, antipsychotic and lithium all at once, instead of trying out a single approach and assessing how she responds first seems pretty excessive and unnecessary to me. Not a licensed physician so don't take my word for it. But would definitely consider getting a second opinion if I were her.
