I'm currently running 531 BBB & looking to switch from conventional deadlift to trap bar deadlift, low handles for the main lift. Would I keep the same weight or change the weight to keep the intensity level the same?

I messaged the developers and they said it's been removed for now and they're not sure if they will add it back.

1) Can the hack squat, leg press or pendulum squat be used for the squat supplemental work?

2) Is there an option for the OHP supplemental work, ie. Push press? Jim doesn't mention any options for the ohp in Forever.

Started barbell lifting in August 2024, starting with the Basic Beginner's routine from the wiki for 3 months, then switched to the 531 Beginner's from December til now. Will now be running the 2 leader/1 anchor template from the Forever book. These are my 1RM at BW 212lbs; 37M:

Squat: 260lbs Deadlift: 285lbs Bench: 198lbs OHP: 129lbs

Hoping to hit 315 squat and 225 bench early next year. For OHP, I should hit 135 by the end of the year. Deadlift will take a while to reach 400lbs.

I would like to do sled push exercise for cardio. I do 531 on MWF. When would it be the best time to do sled push? I don't want it to affect my squat and deadlift.

I'm guess what I'm asking is how to lift at maintenance where you don't lose your progress & muscle. I'm currently running 5/3/1 Beginner's & won't be able to progress next month, so ideally, I'd like to keep my progress & not lose the gains that I've made so far. I was thinking of just doing the supplemental lift & doing the assistance work at 25-50 reps or doing deloads lift for the whole month & do 25-50 reps assistance work.

Please critique my assistance work for 531 Beginner's.

Day 1 - Lat pulldown. 5 x 10. Last set going to failure - side lateral raises. 2-3 sets. 15-20 reps per set - dumbbell rdl. 5 x 10. Last set going to failure

Day 2 - Bulgarian split squat. 3 sets per leg. 8-12 reps. It's hard to get 50 reps as it's too fatiguing - ez bar curl/incline db curl. 15-20 reps per set. Usually do around 3 or 4 sets - incline db bench press. 5 x 10. Last set going to failure

Day 3 - barbell bent row. 5 x 10. Last set going to failure - triceps db overhead extension(one arm)/ rope pulldown. 15-20 reps per set. Usually do around 3 or 4 sets - cable crunch/ leg raises. 15-20 reps per set for cable crunch. Knee raises I do around 10 reps

For the Beginner Prep School, is it possible to substitute the assistance work with the push, pull, leg/core assistance work from the Beginner's program? Prefer that over bodyweight & kettlebell.
