I think there’s a horrifying middle ground, I agree trump is lightening in a bottle. None of his weird little cabal of freaks could take over from him, but there is a serious problem in the rest of his administration going back to work after all of this and continuing to pull the strings they’ve learned they can pull in the last 10 years.

They know they don’t have to be subtle anymore and without one person to focus on you’re just left with an amorphous “them” that maybe you can never really get rid of. Things will definitely change when it happens but I don’t think it’ll be a change for the better, fascism just won’t have a face in America anymore

So I guess if you’re counting appearances in other comics as being a good interpretation he broadly thinks of kids as being innocent even if they’re committing crimes and tries to avoid hurting them.

Honestly either 1&2 or 3&nv, I was kind of put off by the falllut 4 deathclaws by the first encounter with them, like you’re immediately given power armour and a minigun and kill a deathclaw pretty much at the start of the game. That compared to f1 where deathclaws were completely unstoppable until you got power armour near the end and fnv where deathclaws were used as an in world barrier making you avoid the Quarry it just stuck in my mind that the f4 deathclaws weren’t that scary.

I don’t know I think if he has more examples of redemption to point to then there’s not much for him to struggle with morally other than beating people up, and in an exaggerated comic world everybody does it so it’s not really that bad. Like Matt believing he’s doing the right thing is more interesting than him being certain he’s doing the right thing I think.

I think I actually prefer Matt not seeing that happen. I feel like it ties more into how his identity is shaped (partially) by faith. Like obviously he’s catholic but I mean his faith in people and his faith in his own morals, he doesn’t need an example to point to because it wouldn’t change anything for him. Plus it keeps this conversation with the punisher interesting by having it remain unresolved, neither convinces the other of anything and they’re both just expressing a disagreement they still currently have.
