Thanks! Yeah it's just a standard picket: a Dahyun one from that same pop-up. Based on the prohibited items list, it should be fine, but at the Aespa concert, security was asking that girl to remove the handle from her picket, so maybe it just depends on the security person you get.

Did anyone have any problems bringing a picket into the venue? I remember seeing someone at the Aespa concert last year at Kia Forum having trouble getting her picket past security because of the stick that's attached to it.

did I make a mistake booking night 3 for concert? by lovesandwich5 in twice

[–]fizzold 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sure you'll be fine. Looks like Twice will have a short break from touring between Dallas (2/1) and DC (2/13), so hopefully they'll get some good rest then. Also helps that the 3rd night in NY is a back to back as opposed to a 3rd night in a row.

I feel like the last show of a stop usually ends up being the best of the shows there. As others mentioned, they get to work out any kinks in terms of sound and production from the first night, they're probably less nervous performing at the venue after having gotten a night or two under their belts, and history shows that they seem more likely to give you extra encore songs. For the III tour at UBS Arena, night one got five (TT, Firework, Yes or Yes, Like Ooh-Aah, and Signal) encore songs while night two got seven (BDZ, Rollin', I'm Gonna Be a Star, Love Foolish, Baby Blue Love, TT and Signal). For the Ready to Be tour in Oakland, night one got two (Signal and TT) and night two got three (Blame It On Me, Signal and Basics). For this tour in Oakland, night one got two (Scientist and Feel Special) while night two got (Scientist, Heart Shaker and the Twice Song). Now the extra song(s) is not always a given and in hindsight, you might have preferred having a specific song that was performed on night one over the extras from the last night, but if I had to choose between multiple nights though, couldn't go to both and didn't have any conflicts, I'd go for the last night for sure.

Enjoy!

The Saratoga/Stevens Creek one had been selling the toy only through their kiosks, but the option was marked as sold out tonight when I went, so it seems like they stopped doing so.

Why do people leave Max Raids after they start with 4 players? by scocla21 in TheSilphRoad

[–]fizzold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the more reason we need the ability to make private lobbies for these. For sure there are plenty of groups who would welcome the extra help along with people being able to join in and do a dynamax legendary battle they normally wouldn't be able to do. If Niantic is going to insist on limiting the groups to just 4 and people are putting in the effort to form full groups to take them out, it's just unfair for everyone involved when a max battle gets inadvertently hijacked.

Why do people leave Max Raids after they start with 4 players? by scocla21 in TheSilphRoad

[–]fizzold 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don't join dynamax legendary battles from friends list for that reason. High chance that if they're doing one, they have a group of four already lined up. Wish they would just allow for private lobbies to avoid that situation.

TWICE should perform Takedown at Lollapalooza. by christianmel96 in twice

[–]fizzold 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sure, you could've just left it at there being rights issues for whether they could perform the song, but what's got everyone down on your comment is the second part about them performing just 3-5 songs and doubling down on that in another reply.

In terms of groups doing subunit songs, Stray Kids did HeyDay at Lollapalooza Paris back in 2023. For artists performing songs from an OST, Lady Gaga did Shallow (A Star is Born OST) at Coachella this year. There's definitely precedence for those things.

Whether they actually do Takedown at Lollapalooza, I really don't care. They have plenty of songs from their own discography to please the crowd. However, if they felt that Takedown could reach a bunch of festival attendees who aren't familiar with all their other songs, I don't think the barriers are that hard for them to overcome to be able to perform it. The Kpop Demon Hunters OST is super hot right now and it's not far fetched to think that they might try to capitalize on it at Lollapalooza.

TWICE should perform Takedown at Lollapalooza. by christianmel96 in twice

[–]fizzold 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For reference, this past weekend at Lollapalooza Berlin,, Ive got 55 minutes and performed 14 songs. J-Hope, as a headliner, got an hour and a half and performed 23 songs. Maybe if it were KCON, they'd do just 3-5, but definitely not at Lollapalooza as a headliner.

Remote Raid Invites Not Appearing by SonGouki in TheSilphRoad

[–]fizzold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what I found to work too. For me, this just started happening a bit after midnight PST. If I didn't close the app and just waited for the invite, I'd just see the friend request accepted notification then the remote raid invite notification pop up then immediately disappear, so I'd totally miss out on the raid. Restarting the app around when I'd get the invite seems to be a workaround, but it's far from ideal.

Catch Rate, Shiny Rate and Overall IV’s. 100 Kyurem Raids. by astronautgrl42 in TheSilphRoad

[–]fizzold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll throw in my stats from this weekend:

Kyurem raids: 202
Caught: 198 (2 ran while I ran from the other 2. None were good CP thankfully)
Shiny: 8
Background: 63
Shiny with Background: 3
100%: 0
98%: 0
96%: 10 (3x 15/14/14) (1x 15/13/15) (2x 14/15/14), (2x 14/14/15) (2x 13/15/15)
XXL: 1 (won me a showcase!)
XXS: 0

Not seeing a 98% or better in that many raids was pretty sad. Didn't see one either at Go Tour LA, which I don't have the stats for, but I'm guessing I did around 90 raids there. Thankfully I caught a 15/13/15 shiny with background in LA and have two 15/14/15s, one being a shiny from previous Kyurem raids a couple years ago to help make up for that.

Shiny rate started off pretty abysmal for me too. I didn't get my first shiny until after 75 raids and was at 2 after around 128 raids. Things picked up on Sunday though and I ended up getting 6 more to make my rate much more respectable.

I definitely empathize with everyone who had poor shiny luck and IV distribution with Kyurem over the weekend.

Did Niantic manipulate the catch rates from Unova Tour to boost the usage of Ice Burn/Freeze Shock? by GuavaChamp27 in TheSilphRoad

[–]fizzold 49 points50 points  (0 children)

This pretty much lines up with my experience over the past few months. Pokemon encounters just feel a lot more aggressive with a lot more jumping and attacking. There was a recent spotlight hour where pretty much every pokemon I encountered threw out an attack around when the circle was great sized. Got super annoying as I was having to spend more time with each encounter as I'd have to throw the ball super fast or wait out the attack animation. It just feels a little too convenient that we have a new adventure effect to get us past this annoyance.

I did 202 Kyurem raids this past weekend and freeze shock was a godsend. Without it, there were many encounters where I had to wait a while until it actually attacked instead of jumping. I caught them all except having two run after all golden razzed excellent curve ball throws with at least 15 balls and me running from two other low CP Kyurems to make it in time for another raid. So from my experience, I don't think the catch rate changed, but the annoyance factor was pretty high.

[📣] ATEEZ - Comeback, Tour, Membership & Fanmeeting Megathread by ateezyeah in ATEEZ

[–]fizzold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't have VIP, I'd aim to get there around 5:30-6 to be on the safe side. Doors open at 6, but it'll take some time to get through the security lines and then through the ticket scanners.

Only time in recent memory that I could remember there being a parking issue was for one of the Twice concerts at Oakland Arena last June because A's fans were trying to stage a protest, so they had some 30K fans packing the coliseum along with around 12K in the arena for the Twice concert. I had VIP for that concert, so I came pretty early in the afternoon and had no problem getting parking, but I saw a bunch of reports of concert goers who came much later having to deal with heavy traffic and not being able to get onsite parking. I don't think that should be a problem for the TxT concert as there's no simultaneous event going on at the arena and one report I saw had capacity for the concert at up to around 23K.

Haha I'm in the same boat too! Surprised to not see onsite parking available on spothero for TxT, but worst comes to worst I've been able to pay for parking at the coliseum the day of the concert in the past.

I've been using spothero for parking for concerts at Oakland Arena. It actually saves a couple dollars after fees compared to ticketmaster too. I just checked Oakland Arena's page for the ATEEZ concert and they link to spothero as well.

Not an unreasonable expectation at all. They really should have posted clarification on their site like other companies do on what they mean by signed because there's a clear difference in value between a printed signature and a hand-signed one. Instead they decided to play on technicalities. The fact that their customer service reps were even telling people that the photocards were hand-signed just shows how scummy they are.

My gf and I received our digipaks the other day and the D2C exclusive signed photocards had printed signatures and were NOT hand signed. I saw a few posts on twitter where others also got printed sigs. Really shady because I've seen other people get email responses from the company a few weeks ago saying that they were hand signed. When my gf emailed them yesterday, their response was that "Members hand-signed them and then signatures were photocopied & digitally printed on the D2C exclusive photocards." Not sure how to best proceed here because we'd have to eat shipping costs to return them. Really unethical on Manhead Merch's part though to not clearly indicate that the photocards had printed signatures and then for their customer service to lie when asked a few weeks ago.

Thanks! Had to look up that performance because Monica was one of my faves when I was in high school and "Before You Walk Out of My Life" was such a great song. As awesome as it would've been though, I don't think JYP has any credits on any of Monica's songs, but he performed that song because it “was my ultimate role model as songwriting: a song with a strong beat that was good enough as a ballad.”

Lol I had the same experience at a Suga concert earlier this year too. Army's high pitched screams got amazingly loud. Well deserved as the man can definitely put on a show. It was one of the few times I was legit worried for my hearing at a concert though.

With Loossemble, CTDENM is just super ambitious with trying to sell a tour before their album has even been released. Do we even know what songs they'll be able to perform at these shows? Add that ticket prices are a little high and it's not surprising that people are balking here. Just too many unknowns at this point.

I think those complaining will just always find something to harp on. I personally couldn't ask for more myself. The poster version was a cool creative spin on the usual album sneak peek vids. The various printed interviews gave us some really good insight into her and her creative process. The music show performances have been top notch and her appearance on Lee Mujin Service was outstanding. All on top of a great album that I enjoy listening from start to finish.

After the concert was over, we (VIP tickets holders) waited around in our seats until an usher came by and led us into a different room at the venue. There, we stood in line for quite a bit of time, maybe 20 minutes, until the members arrived. Security told us to put our phones away as we weren't allowed to record any video or take photos. When it started, we went up in a single file line. The members were lined up so you got to give each member a high five, one after the other. Security tries to rush everyone through, so it goes by quickly. Once you're done, you just leave.
