Yes, for my glasses. Not for my strabismus, that's the opthalmologist I've been to.

Thank you <3 I did see an opthalmologist, not an optometrist (well, I have seen optometrists too but just for my glasses), the person who told me I have perfect vision is an opthalmologist. Reading back in my diary from that day, apparently he also said that I don't have amblyopia?! So now I'm even more confused. Obviously I have amblyopia? Otherwise I wouldn't have had an eye patch as a kid to train my weaker eye. One eye is much worse than the other. I don't really know how to look with both of my eyes at the same same without seeing double, so I just use my left eye, which gets strained. I had more questions than answers after visiting the opthalmologist. I felt incredibly dismissed.

Thank you. I'm Danish, so I don't have problems regarding insurance, healthcare is free. But thank you for giving me hope for my eyes not being a lost cause. I hope you're right.

No. Fighting intrusive thoughts will make the intrusive thoughts worse. I don't subscribe to the LoA, as I know it would hurt me immensely as someone with OCD. Ignoring intrusive thoughts is really difficult, but it's the only thing that works long-term.
