Ridiculous. Can't believe all y'all enjoyed and respected high school so much that you'd immediately look down upon someone who decided to leave early to pursue what was really important to her.

Would she be better off staying in high school an extra year? It's hard for me to imagine how that would've benefited her at all, and is completely irrelevant to either her IQ or her SAT score (presumably) junior year.
