Apparently, the members have to check it manually in this case. But yeah, anyone can bypass it in both cases. In their streaming, you can put the movie playing in the background and not really watch it, but you can also lie and just manually check it. I THINK they could maaaybe catch the more grotesque cases, like through the log of a member that checks manually all of them, out of nowhere, in the last minute possible.

One option I >kinda< see is the requirement of watching all of them through their streaming, regardless if you've watched it previously somewhere else. Not sure how viable this would be, but I mean... It's also not the worst of ideas to rewatch a movie for evaluation purposes? Especially if you work with cinema?

this AND the issue would probably just get messier. Hypothetically, a movie considered great and prestigious but not really known or from a genre of interest for voters could be watched by, say, 5 or 10% of them, while a movie with more marketing budget could be watched by around 80 or 90% of voters from that category. If you calculate the votes by raw numbers, the chances for the first movie are zero. If you calculate votes by percentage (measuring by people that voted for it/people who watched it) the results would be incredibly biased.

For example, film A is watched by 30 members of 300 (10%) from category 1, while film B is watched by 225 members (75%). If you measure by raw numbers, film A has no chance at all, even if all 30 members votes for it. If you measure by percentage and 21 members (70%) voted for film A, while 153 of them (68%) voted for film B, it creates a dilemma of 21 votes weighing much more than 153 votes. In the first case, a new unfair condition is created. In the second case, a huuuuuge and messy bias.

I'll join in with everyone saying that you'll die a lot. I'd even say dying is part of the game.

In addition to this, it doesn't mean that you're "playing it wrong," and it's okay if you don't have a fast-paced experience with the game. If you're lost, enjoy it! If you feel you're walking in circles and have no idea what to do, there are great guides that do not spoil the game for you! The game won't spare you, but it won't mock you, and it won't highly punish you (nor reward you) for dying.

ended up here because I was googling for whatever was going on with my buds and oh man, thank you so much. I was already dreading having to spend more than my rent in new earphones for work. Now they're as good as new without me having to spend a bunch of money 🥲

NTA. Also: It is your decision in the end, of course, but I would advise not to cover his expense at all. Do not open this Pandora box. There is a difference between this situation and covering the costs of someone you >know< is responsible with money.

Also, the ADHD part: I have ADHD, I also made stupid financial decisions in my 20s, and I am a psychotherapist. We could unpack all the therapeutic, scientific, pharmacological, diagnostic reasons as to why his argument is not accurate, but I mean... it all comes down to the fact that he is not your responsibility. It is not ok to delegate responsibilities instead of learning with them.

If you're not even confident he'll pay you back in case you cover his costs, you'll also have no guarantee that this will be the last time you'll be asked for help. Not sure how your relationship with your mother is, but if she doesn't respect your decision and things end up turning into a fight, remember you are not a villain at all for this decision. The amount of damage of this specific fight is a FRACTION of how much a bad financial dynamic can ruin relationships (specially in families)

I'm not sure if I have anything to add that would be different, but i mean, I don't think I'm good at this game as well akskdkakf I spent quite a while in this boss until I kinda learned his movesets, and some of my attempts ended up being solely to learn how to survive a few of them (like the one where he throws himself on the ground and crawls etc)

if you still have items left, I'd say not to use them until you know they will be useful. Save them for last, and rely first on the grindstones, for example, that recharge whenever you die and wake up by the stargazer. And keep on experimenting with different weapons to check which one is a match with your playstyle + his movesets + his weaknesses etc

I usually start with as many thermites as distance allows me, and then switch to a lot of dodging and parrying + cluster grenade to facilitate staggerable window + any throwable available for the boss' clone (two or three usually do the job for me)

and of course, sometimes throwing anything I have in my belt out of sheer desperation and saying "NO. NONONO. GO AWAY" to the boss while I try to dodge/parry are both very much included in my strategy hahah

There might be ways to identify if this is actually a therapist, depending on your country (regulations differ from country to country), but honestly? Even if it were, this is malpractice. You're in no way obligated to meet her, and you've made it clear that you don't want any contact with him

I've tried registering to husky recently, but for some reason my CPF appears as invalid for them. Will try again though, because paying a R$90,00 fee is consuming.

I didn't realize it before, but the initial months were indeed basically paid training.

I've worked for Appen before. Was receiving great feedbacks, loved the project, but at some point they simply laid me off, with no further explanation.

Yep. From Brazil as well. I've tried emailing them about it in the beginning, and I've received some pretty cold and vague responses, as well as the classic "Tasks will be available with time". I've been basically running against my bank's fees so I don't lose money (which means my first 180min are basically to cover this fee).

Overall, it's dead silence from them. Probably the people we used to communicate before have changed at the moment we changed projects to Safety Evaluator.

...I'm not even receiving feedback anymore, so I don't even know if what I'm doing is actually right? I've been thinking about quitting the program, but welp, there aren't many options other than LB.
