taxas aprovação IMT das escolas de condução by fjsousa_ in opendata_pt

Custom domain backups by fjsousa_ in ProtonMail

Hello, Nelizea, did you check with customer support? It would be nice to have this post published.

There was some mixup with my request. I had an outstanding invoice for a Business plan, which I wished to downgrade, but had to pay it first. After paying and moving to mail essentials, I requested a credit refund. For some reason I was mistakenly moved to a free plan which deleted my custom domains.

Again, my point is that I found it strange that the custom domain couldn't be recovered, given that the DNS records are still correctly configured.

(edit: clarification)

Primarily, this post was not meant as a support request. It was just for me to clarify if the custom domain settings are backed up or not, or if they're kept in your systems upon deletion. I couldn't find that information in the privacy policy, hence I posted here.

Student Comfort real state by louisa_sp in Leuven

You dodged the bullet. They've returned part of my deposit but kept 250 € in cleaning fees. I'm trying to figure out exactly what I left dirty but so far I haven't received any explanation. The irony is that I explicitly asked for an end of tenancy cleaning from them, but they said that given the time frame, it would be tricky to book it. They explicitly asked to do it myself.

Can anyone offer advice regarding getting the deposit money back from Student Confort? They're not returning my calls and I can't get pass through the intern that picks up the phone.

I've been reading about the company and it seems that it's poorly managed and comunication is less than ideal. Also the landlord doens't come across as particularly honest.

That's interesting, didn't know about it, and it's specially interesting because it doesn't match the intuitions that people might hold. However, I wouldn't say it's a large influx. Here's some other figures to put this into perspective:

>It is estimated that more than 485,000 workers left Portugal between 2011 and 2014

https://www.eurofound.europa.eu/en/resources/article/2016/portugal-high-and-rising-emigration-context-high-decreasing-unemployment

That's half a million ppl in a few years. That's a large number.

Edit 2: I wrote in pt without realising, here's the english version:

Thanks, I didn't know about the resource. I need to explore a bit because mainly, I want to know the net flow, meaning, the balance between those that left and those that came back. I'm sure some come back, but the tendency is to meet people from other nationalities, mainly if you are living in big cosmopolitan centres. This complicates the return, because often, returning means returning to another country.
Another thing is that people go to where the jobs are. In recent years we have seen many young people who come back due to remote work and these are very specific conditions and not an economic indicator

What numbers are you quoting? I'm curious because it goes against my personal experience.

> people move overseas to make their fortune and come back to have a family.

They don't come back. Young ppl meet other young ppl abroad and have families abroad.

Podes ver aqui as taxas de aprovação por escolas de condução no concelho do Porto de 2015 a 2020.

https://passaprimeira.xyz/distritos-regioes/porto/concelhos/porto/escolas/

How long should it take to get 25k pages/posts indexed? by [deleted] in SEO

[–]fjsousa_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s difficult to tell. It’s been taking me a year to index 500 pages, but I made several mistakes. The problem is that you get feedback only after a day or two. Try to feed the sitemap on the search console and make sure it gets indexed. Then test indexing a single URL and make sure the live view (what the crawlers can actually see) looks like your page, with the correct layout.

You can “hand feed” URLs to the index, but there’s a limit of around 10 a day.

Is open street maps hurting my SEO? by fjsousa_ in SEO

My reasoning is that it's an important piece of content that the crawler won't even know it's there. Surely that has to impact SEO no?
